This has to be the best Value Photography Deal of the year. How much is for cheapest Compact camera with APS-C CMOS and kit lens?
How much is for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5?

Samsung have a big range of NX lenses on the market.
Much cheaper then Sony a5100 or a6000.

What you think guys?

These are incredible cameras. Their functionality is top notch and the image quality is genuinely fantastic. As good as any other APS-C camera and up to ISO3200, everything is extremely usable. The lens included is also a LOT better than you would expect.

In regards to comparing with the Sony. The sony has autofocus that will be miles better than this.

The samsung only has contrast detection AF.

The sony uses the latest hybrid phase and contrast detection which is faster, much better in low-light and able to refocus during burst shots ( great for sports/ kids running around)

Both are crap in autofocus compare to Dslr. Trust me. Sony it's twice the price and no Photoshop included. Also lenses on ebay for Samsung are much cheaper then Sony

Everybody who purchased this camera in previous deal got 5 version which cost.. Yes right...How much is for Lightroom 5 when you want to buy from any shop online?

It does have autofocus, unless you use adapters and older non-autofocus lenses, it just won't be the speediest which isn't hugely surprising given how cheap this is. Still a good camers for such a low price though!

'trust me'?
you ask in every system if there is a 35/1.8 lens suggesting you've not even used them.
the dslr speed is almost irrelevant as its vs the posted deal that counts seeing as thats what the thread is about!
as for being slower than dslr its been reported in many places to be as good as most for speed but maybe less so in poor light
'trust me'?

very good deal though

I wish to have money to buy any lens :) Sony are just so expensive also for A7 version. I used plenty of 35mm f.18 lenses on Dslr and this focal length is so useful.
I watched Tony Northrup comparison of a5100 and Nikon d3300 and Dslr in day light was significant better then Sony, like twice better.

It's at least as good as many previous generation DSLRs in terms of focus. In fact, I upgraded the firmware on mine the other day and now, it's probably on a parr with a lower end current DSLR is decent light. In darker situations it struggles "more" but that doesn't mean it's bad in use.

"Trust me", for £189 - Quidco, you will not find a camera that gives better Image Quality or overall functionality. Shoot in RAW, RAW + JPEG, P,A,S,M modes plus plenty of automatic and scene modes for point and shoots users.

Update the firmware and you can forget pretty much anything negative reviews say. All these camera manufacturers are starting to realise that listening to the consumer and releasing firmware updates is the way to go.

Thats all well and good but whats lightroom for?
#23
the nx300 is 33% (roughly) more expensive and it is widely regarded to be twice the camera...
therefore it (the nx300) represents (I believe) better £ for £ value

Can this do slow motion video like the iPhone eg. 120fps?

Thats all well and good but whats lightroom for?

It's for editing and cataloging photos. I'm not somebody who spends hours editing all of my pics, but it's great for organisation if you shoot a lot and moving to RAW and taking a little bit of time to tweak my favourites (Lightroom can be used as simply as a set of sliders for contrast, saturation, explosion, highlights etc) has made a pretty significant difference to how well they turn out.

Bought this for £200 ish from JL a few months back. V happy with it - good quality and great with 30mm pancake I had previously. Sold software for 50 ish which made it a super bargain even without lens.

Good camera and good price but Its been £200 for months.
I was very close to purchasing this, but decided on a deal posted here for the Canon eos M for same price in argos which recently went mega hot
It would be interesting to compare

Stop talking nonsense. the a5100 and a6000 are much better in auto focus than entry level DSLRs, fanboy.

More focus points doesn't mean that Sony it has better autofocus. I'm not fanboy mate. I know some facts...

Clearly you don't. It has nothing to do with the number of focus points. The a5100/a6000 autofocus is ridiculously good and QUICKER than most PRO DSLRS.

If you want to talk facts, i suggest you do some research first.

Have to agree with the other chap, you're talking rubbish. The NX3000 isn't great as it lacks phase detect, but the higher end mirroless cameras are just as good as DSLRs.

Would love to see how the Sony a5000 compares aswell as canon, guessing the sony will win in everything.
This is a great price the colour and imagine quality looks good and that's what matters most for me.
