Only by £3, and currys wont price match promo codes, so for me, and others that want a price match in store, this is the better deal.

I'm well aware of how much they cost, that's why I knew dixons was slightly cheaper. I stated a fact in that I prefer the look of the 97 nothing more.

My local currys will not match the website prices by the way. Tried last December with my girlfriends laptop. How did you manage to get them to?

I was only going from personal experience. They got very indignant when I queried it in fact. thanks for clearing that up, I haven't shopped there since.

Yes it's shocking, makes you wonder if flat screens are going to level out price wise or go the way of DVD players.

This Samsung has dropped by nearly £80 in the last month

For those that want a Q97, the cheapest seems to be 247Electrical at £693.40 delivered with 3% Quidco on top.

I got the Q97 a few weeks back (Yes I looked at both and preferred the look of the Q97 to the Q96 and the price difference then was marginal).

Cracking TV. Looks stunning. Bought this model as the reviews suggested it had very good reproduction of Standard Definition pictures e.g. Freeview & Sky, as well as HD. As I dont expect to have HD for a few years this was important to me and the reviews are not wrong. Plasma/LCD's can show some pixelation of SD broadcasts but this does an excellent job of keeping the picture sharp.

The TV has so many adjustments you can make to picture and it took a while to adjust it to my preferences but once I did I am very happy. Compared it to my friend 42" Panasonic and thought the Samsung had the edge in looks and picture reproduction.

The only thing I would add is that when I set it up I thought the inbuilt freeview receiver not to be as good as my external Humax PVR' receiver but then I am in a weak signal area.

On balance I think the Samsungs are excellent Value for Money and dont see why people would pay hundreds more for a Pioneer/Sony for example (apart from paying for the name).

How long does Quidco take to track with Currys ?

Asking as I ordered this TV back on 1/6/2007 and it is still not tracking. Should I cancel and re-order ? (can't be bothered waiting on an earnings enquiry)

Delivery expected on Friday. TV has gone done in price since I ordered. Can I get refund on the difference ?
