Quidco should'nt be used in the price as it's not guaranteed

ok will add back on now

Having a quick look around the seem to be around £830 everywhere else. great deal if they have it. Voted hot

Ordered as it's a good price at £503.25 if the quidco doesn't track. Just hope there are no comebacks with the voucher.

Beware Littlewoods discount codes. They are known to re-claim the discount at a later date, even when it was applied directly in your shopping cart at the point of purchase (several threads here and in forums explain/confirm that). I personally would not purchase anything from Littlewoods with a discount code unless I have received it from Littlewoods direct (in an email for instance). As far as I know people have always lost their cases when the money was reclaimed, so be aware of that. For this reason my vote is cold.

That's probably the best because if they validate the discount to you personally, they can't reclaim it later.

Any reviews on this tv? I can't seem to find any:?

£500 quid for a 50"er. They will be giving them away in Christmas crackers soon :-)
#11
Is there any good stands around for this?
#12
Ok , every HUKD member knows about the dudgy Empirestores codes ... they have a history of not honoring the codes !! yes .. but how many of u have used the code and got busted ? well , i ve been using the codes for over a year now for several purchases and never had any problem ... yes , there is a small risk .. but that s about everything in life ,isnt it ? Hot from me
#13
Ive always used the codes too without having any problems at all.
#14
Just phoned to place order and they wouldn't honour the code - not worth the risk for me.

Only buy TV's if you really need them right now. Prices have been falling quite sharply for the last few months and will still be doing so I think.

Even poor TV's used to be around £150-200 per 10". Now quality TV's are going for £100 per 10". who knows what the near future may bring :)

If I could have got this for £500 I would have it, but not wroth taking the risk of getting charged in 3 months time (for me anyway).
#18
Just phoned them up again and opened up at account as they will send me a 15% voucher, so fingers crossed that it will arrive while they still have this in stock.
#19
I had to call them concerning delivery of my 42" and they confirmed to me that this code is for new customers only. Good deal though! Hot.
#20
This is quite an old series 4 model (presently series 9). It also will heat your front room in the summer with 500W (it's a little electric heater built-in) and will push up your electricity bill substancially over the years to come. Maybe not such a good deal after all. I would look for a newer model with lower energy consumption.
#21
so, chances of me getting this as a new customer for this price ?

My wife is already a customer of LW, so we used the code with additionsdirect and it worked fine. I believe marshallward are also part of the same group.
#23
Well Ive took my chances and ordered one
#24
Does anyone know anything about this code?

I was wondering how many times it can be used, and if i was to use it once, then cancel that order, could i use it again?
#25
quite a risk with these codes..
#26
I Think Once Youve Used The Code You Cant Use It Again Even If You Cancel The Order, The Best Way Would Be To Open Another Account With Marshall Ward Or One Of The Others And It Doesnt Have To Be A Credit Account You Can Just Pay By Card

So would the codes for littlewoods probably work for marshall ward too?
#28
why start every word with a capital letter? lol
this is a great deal as long as the voucher is not reclaimed back in months to come! and also this is an older model in the series

Based on what was said in the voucher thread I ordered a 42" for myself and 1 each for my sister and parents. The code went through fine, however after reading some of the the stories on here about codes I decided to ring LW and ask what the code was for. They told me the code was NOT for new customers and was a special code issued by the Retentions dept to existing customers. When I explained that I had been told by a member of staff in an earlier phone call that it was a 1st order discount code the lady spoke with a manager and confirmed it was NOT for new customers. So I rang again a further 2 times and was told exactly the same thing. So out of 4 phone calls I've been told once it's for new customers and 3 times for existing customers only. What's annoying is that I've ordered this for family based on what the OP of the voucher stated "It's for everyone" and I'll feel like S**T should LW attempt to claw back the discount later on. I'm almost at the point where I think I'll have to cancel it for them. If someone would like to try it themselves and call them on 08448 222 321, obviously don't give your account info and ask them who can use the code, if they ask where you got it from mention that a friend or relative gave it to you. At least then you can make an informed decision before using it. Goodluck!!

I have ordered several times this year as an existing customer and not once have they reclaimed. The biggest one I did was a 20% discount on a bed costing £500, whihc brought it down to £400, that was over 3 months ago now and not a peep from them. I personally find them great. I have also used the 15% discount recently and have no fears of it being revoked.

Also if you look at the post here, the OP states that she just received a leaflet in with a recnt order she recieved so I doubt very much the 15% is tied to individuals otherwise they wouldn't just put it on a leaflet. If it was specific it should be on a letter or email usually.

Littlewoods do validate at basic level so I wouldn;t worry too much. I know as an existing customer I can never apply a 1st time purchase or new customer only code, so I would assume that they would validate existing customer codes the other way as well, to prevent a load of new customers just using it as a one off. You will probably find that when your order comes through it might even contain a leaflet with teh code on it, then all you need to do is just keep that and show as proof of your code.

Thanks, Just ordered one for the inlaws for Xmas hopefully the order will go through okay as they have never ordred before.

I have my heart set on a Panasonic TH42-PX80B which from Littlewoods would come out at £544 with the 15% discount code, however after reading how they have dealt with customers in the past, I have decided to wait and take my business to a more reputable dealer. I am going to hang on until I see a deal which includes an extended guarantee even if it does cost a bit more in the end. I am not risking dealing with Littlewoods or Marshall Ward as I do not want to spend the next 3 months wondering if I have really got such a hot deal! Thanks guys for all the info.
#37
I have decided to be patient before I buy a large TV because I think prices as good as this are just around the corner, maybe including extended warranties too.

Remember you are doing dealers a favour by giving them YOUR business, not the other way around. They need each and everyone of you, you do not need each and everyone of them especially in todays economic climate.

Personally I would not deal with Littlewoods having read how they have revoked vouchers in the past, that is no way to treat customers who have bought in good faith..

By Series 4 being quite old ... I take it you actually mean that it just came out this year;-)

The New Samsung TV Models go from 4 - 9 as you say with Series 4 being the entry model following all the way up to the top of the range Series 9.

I was looking into buying this TV even though ive been looking mainly at LCD's.
However looking into the power consumption has really put me off.
This TV uses 500W when in use, and that, based on 5 hours a day £100 a year more than my current CRT!

Think i'll keep looking for an LCD!

Great price though if plasma is what you want!
