According to the review this is not actually 100Hz screen.

i've just asked my friend who works at comet, and ive been told it is 100hz - so I might just get this?

What is a bit misleading is the fact the HD READY is not FULL HD!!!

HD READY is 720p.. FULL HD is 1080p.. they need to sort their advertising out... The same deal at currys, and all the samsung range (maybe others) say HD READY too...

jaysus.

Look - go into a store and LOOK AT THESE SCREENS. HD REady is MEANINGLESS for anything less than ( i would say) 46 to 50 inch. If you are viewing (in your living room) from a couhd 8ft+ away from the screen YOU WILL NOT NOTICE.

The fallacy is in the resolution. The REALITY is in the rendition chips and scaling tech used in the set. 720p is FINE in most cases.

In my own experience - even today at selfridges showroom - if you are right up against the screen (1ft) then you see the diff, if you step back to a "couch viewing distance" you wont notice. Dont be oversold the hype.

Your mate at Comet is reading their spec sheet which is wrong. It doesn't have 100hz. It's still a good deal though.

normal: i think your wrong mate, hes been working there for the past 6 years and is the stores top salesman, if you get the tv and check the box and manual i'll think you'll find it states 100hz.

DrHotUK: the tv is full hd 1080p.

Comet would have changed these asap if they were wrong otherwise everyone would be returning this tv!

Samsung's website and all the reviews I've read would disagree with you........ but whatever.

Please go to comet website now, I think you'll find that they have changed it to state that the tv is not 100Hz. Check under the full specification. there is a x marked where previously it stated that it is 100Hz.

I bought this tv & contacted samsung as it didn't state 100hz anywhere on the box or manual. Samsung said it is not 100Hz. I am getting refund today.

Let me know how you get on regarding a refund mate. Ordered one of these myself and also noticed that they've changed the specs on the website.
Mine is only getting delivered next wednesday so not sure about cancelling it or not.
