Cracking price, and I know you mentioned it, but strangely limited delivery. Read conditions carefully.

Nice deal... have txt my housemate... his call on whether to take the plunge... I got a 42" for the living room last month but he wants bigger lol. Don't think there'll be a cheaper 50" for a while.

There speaks the voice of someone who believes what they read.
I have two 50" plasmas. One in each living room. One is full HD and one HD ready. The only difference is when watching Blu-Ray and then it is minimal.
Buy a recommended make and you will be okay. Samsung, Panasonic and LG are all good.

Yeah, if you're sat less than six foot from the screen...
If you're further away than that then 720p is perfectly fine for the majority of people and purposes.

Hot hot hot
Price looks really good. Planning to buy this .... i have not used a Plasma or LCD TV before so dont want to invest a lot for the first one. Does it really make a big difference to buy a full HD or HD ready should be fine?
we would be using primarily for watching TV channels + movies occassionally. Your suggestions and valuable advice?

At this price i would say just get it.
i have a philips 42" plasma had it now for 3 years no troubles (touch wood).
1024x768 excellent SD picture and bluray through ps3 excellent......
seriously good price this for a 50" ......HOT.....i'm tempted myself....must resist.
HD in my opinion is only really relevant for watching bluray
