Tesco are advertising this as a full hd set. Yet this previous post on it says it isn't. Or am i missing something??? Looks a cheap tv if full hd.

In fact, it says its a 1366 x 768 on most sites. Strange.

This looks like a cut down version of the ps50c680, no hd freeview or dlna features. If the end result is anywhere near the ps50c680 it'll be good, as I've had that set 2 months now, and it still blows me away with what it can do, had none of the issues some peeps have had and slate samsung for aswell. Reckon this is gonna be standard price anyway.

if it is full hd its a great price

It says 1366 x 768 on all websites bar tesco. I have the c680 as well. I absolutly love it. Sky 3d is awesome. But im feeling this set isnt full hd.

Would be surprised to see anyone release a 3D tv that isn't full HD

Every website ive searched say its 3d but with the resolution i listed above. Sky 3d is in 1080i and not 1080p.

Samsung does not make good plasmas. They have better LCD/LED sets. For budget plasma set look at LG.

no one else says its full hd apart from tesco

Would buy this if it was full HD.

Don't believe any broadcast HD is 1080p. In anycase assuming your set can de-interlace correctly, for movies originally shot at 24fps (everything hollywood essentially) there's no difference between 1080i/50 or 1080p/50.For everything else there would be no scaling on a 1080 panel.

Sky like most 3D broadcasters use Side by Side for 3D. There's an argument wether this halves the resolution available to you, or if you still perceive it the same way as a single 1080 image since your brain combines the images seen by each eye.

Kudos to Samsung for throwing down the gauntlet with their pricing of their 3D plasmas. Hopefully the rest will follow suit :)

Relative to what? Everyone thinks they have best thing in the world until something better crosses their eyes. I agree Samsung looks stunning compared to:

Put it next to LG PK590-PK990 and it does not shine so bright anymore.

Been reading reviews on the pk590 n that seems to have plenty of problems. So i suppose its horses for courses. I dont regret buying mine for a second. There isnt any ghosting on mine at all. Sky 3d and hd are brilliant.

As are 3d films and Ps3&360. every person that has sat in front of it have always given a wow as their first reaction. It never fails to impress. Everyone to their own!!
