A pound cheaper at pixmania

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/5124643/art/samsung/ps50c550-50-full-hd-plasm.html

Not a huge difference. Just thought I'd give another option.

What can be done with the USB inputs?

Just purchased the '551' model. It was so poor and had a buzzing' sound. Google this for the buzzing fault, its quite common. I am sending it back.

I have a 42" Toshiiba 635 which on a picture scale in comparison I would describe as 8 ut of 10. I will never call the tosh again.

This samsung was very poor, 4 out of 10 reminded me of a 720p TV.....

This sounds a good deal but I was suprised how poor this set was, never mind the buzzing.

Would you say Pixmania Customer Service is equal or better than Amazon?

I can only vouch for Amazon having had to send back something that failed to meet expectations.

Amazon sent courier to collect faulty goods.

I didn't pay a penny to return goods.

Can the same be said for Pixmania?

Question re this type of TV and Sky 3D channel - due to be released soon.

I understand the the 3D channel will require any set to be able to support a refresh rate of at least 120Hz, which is just over what most new LCD TV's seem to be able to support (100Hz).

This item is rated at "600Hz Subfield Motion: Yes" but a little further down it says "100Hz: Yes"
So is this 600HZ, 100HZ, or something else??

Cheers

This is not 3D compatible. A FullHD TV of same size will cost over £1000. 600HZ subfield explained here http://www.avforums.com/forums/lg-owners-forum/1048456-faq-whats-difference-between-600hz-sub-field-driving-trumotion-100hz-200hz.html

Thanks,

Thats what I thought - a typical marketing ploy IMHO. Its a 100HZ set really, but some will be suckered into thinking it'll support more then enough for 3D viewing and be sorely disappointed.
Naughty really.
