Good price! I ordered one from Currys instore at Bristol last weekend and had it delivered yesterday. Was £899 knowing I could get it cheaper, but has 5 year warranty. However at this price it makes it more tempting for people not to bother with extended warranty or choose who to go with. Nice one!

Looks like a good deal but says delivery within 1 to 2 months...

Can I ask about the screen; is it reflective? I have been looking at these TVs for some time but currently have a Sony LCD and find it terrible during daylight to watch anything.
#4
Wonder if it comes with glasses? How many pairs? And do people like the picture quality of this TV?

One pair in the box.
#6
Can you apply for another pair to Samsung? Or is it just 1 pair in total with this telly?

You will need that warranty with this tv. Just have a read on av forums about all the problems people have had to date with this set.

It's great when you get a working one. My first one had clearly been dropped by Comet :(

yeah my dads just picked this up at the weekend from comet in the £899 deal that has 3 pairs of glasses and the 4 shrek films in 3d. Comet dont seem to tell there staff that plasmas need to be loaded vertically, the clueless chav want to slide it in the boot on its side.........

3D TVs will be a fad :3

the samsung ue46c8000 looks like to be the one for me although there is slight problems with the 3d image but it looks the bee's and 2d and all the extras that come on the tv makes it worth it, but wondering wheather to wait for it to come down in price!

Don't think it will be a fad, I just think it will be the norm e.g. all tvs will have the feature built in and it won't be a talking point. Then customers either choose to use it or leave it alone, especially if they improve the way in which 3d is viewed. So my view is that 3d will catch on, but not with everyone, and it won't be a USP of a telly anymore. Most tvs and blu ray players will be capable of it.

I used to think that until i saw a Sky 3D demo, showing Golf and Football.. it looked incredible!

Have you been into a shop and had a demo?

It looks amazing, it's just a shame that every make and model has technical issues whether it be buzzing power supplies, cross talk, grey blacks, poor sync to glasses and so on.

3D video games will be the next big thing IMHO :) Films will follow, not lead.

Games are astonishing in 3D.
