Good spec - let down by a mediocre graphics card; don't buy this expecting to play recent games.

If the Q310 is anything to go by, this will be a lovely laptop.

Remember, these dont come with the bloatware that the likes of HP Compaq, Acer etc come with. And even if it does have something on it, these come with FULL windows discs, and a samsung disc which gives you the choice to put whatever you want on it.

These are nice and quick machines, let down by graphics sadly so gaming is poor. Speakers are ok, but not the best. Other than that, I have used one for work for about 5 months now and its been on 8 hours every day, ive had no issue with it at all. And its always lightning fast.

I have owned packard bell, hp, compaq, dell, toshiba, acer laptops. By far, the Samsung is the best quality in my opinion.

so you actually have this laptop, cool advice then im going to go for either this one or http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-9921.aspx , that that would be only because the Hp has a 512mb didicated graphics, better than the samsungs 256mb:thumbsup:

This was highlighted as part of the CarphoneWarehouse Laptop clearance elsewhere....They had none online last week, only a few at seleced stores. Looks like they managed to get more in.

Fantastic price, I've been telling myself I don't need it for the past week!

So is there or isn't there a 13" bluray laptop for £500?

I don't think there's another decent spec 13" laptop for £500 full stop

PC Pro just reviewed this laptop and managed to get 28 frames per second with the highly demanding Crysis on low settings "which isn't bad". But if your really into gaming I don't think you wouldn't be buying a 13 inch laptop. But it will handle recent games at low settings.

What are you expecting on a small notebook the G105m competes very well against the ATI mobile 3470 and has a nice power saving over the old 8400m GT.

Heat for the price.
But Samsungs are overated IMHO

Dell are doing a 13.2" Vostro for £504 delivered at the moment (T6670, 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD) but that also comes with basic graphics. I have a slightly better spec'd version and the Vostro is a great little laptop (I get just under 5 hours off my battery (with no wifi)).

From reading through that the only difference I can see (apart from the blutooth 2.0 v 2.1) is the CPU, the T4200 is a Pentium Dual Core with 1mb of L2 cache and the T6400 is a core 2 duo with 2mb of L2 cache. Basically ignoring the name the only difference is the cache and an extra mb of it isnt worth £100. The Pentium Dual Core is a core 2 duo in all but name.

yes, unlikely to be totally free though; most likely need to pay shipping

I'm replacing an old laptop and have decided this is what I want. Does anyone know of any stores that have any? Carphone warehouse online shop says none available.

Just a quick update, the Item was in stock but then very quickly sold out:x, luckily; even though the website stated "out-of-stock" when i went online to buy, i was able to pre-order for delivery in 5-7 days :p

Can confirm that this is the T6400 model (NP-Q320-AS02UK) which retails at around £650+.

Manchester CPW have a couple remaining in store, cant say which store specifically though. Stock code is SAMQ320.

They are getting rid of Vista machines in time for the Windows 7 release.

Going through some old Favourites, I clicked the one for this deal on the CPW website and it appears this laptop is back in stock.

I managed to get one at the beginning of November by checking availability at local stores and, for the price, this is a good unit.

It also qualifies for a 'free' upgrade to Windows 7.
