Having Blu-Ray in a laptop with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels makes me lol...

The only possible use is to use it as a really expensive blu-ray player for your tv, and use the other features while you're on the go, but you're probably better off just purchasing a separate laptop and a separate blu-ray player.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad laptop by any means, it's just that it seems somewhat unbalanced.

Thanks for opinion Talicus. Point taken re screen res for Blu Ray but reviews say it's not unbearable.

I have been looking for a decent all round machine for about a month now for around £550 mark. I did purchase an Acer 5739g from laptop-direct for £500 which was decent spec and had pretty much what I'm looking for (decent speed cd2 processor, 4gb ram, 320 hd, mid level graphics card, windows 7) but the wireless was terrible on it( 2 yards max) so I put it back! They gave me refund today but I notice they never gave me back my postage (£15) ?

Anyway prob getting a bit greedy looking at Blu Ray on this machine but all opinions and alternatives very much appreciated before I finally make another purchase. Thanks

Sorry, but cold. Poor processor, low amount of ram, rubbish graphics card and odd resolution.

However it would be a good enough laptop but for the fact that its £560. For this money you should be looking at getting a core i5 laptop.

Could you point me to where you can get a laptop for this kind of money with an i5 processor and a dedicated (better if possible) graphics card? Thanks.
