Have samsung stopped doing 5 year warranties?
#4
Personally I would never buy a Samsung fridge freezer ever again. Constantly breaking down, despite a change to a different model, similar problems persisted.

How is the power supplied?
#6
Back down to 2yr warranty (was 5yrs on promotion last year) although still has 10 year warranty on the compressor which is very good. Bought similar last year and pleased so far.

My Samsung fridge/freezer just broke down 2 years and 1 month after I bought it. Cost me £150 to get fixed. :(

When I read the title I Thought the deal was about curries that could be frozen or chilled in the freezer

Had two last time. First was erratic on temperature with freezer reading set to -18 but measured with two thermometers the temperature was actually -27 to -30. This was then replaced with a second one where the temperature was -22 to -25 with stat set to -18. This one also had a leaking water dispenser and some marks in the paint from manufacture, not damage. I was offered a third one but refused and had a refund. It was a shame as it looked like a nice quality unit with all the features you could ever want from a fridge freezer.

Voted cold because a good deal on a fridge freezer should be voted cold not hot ;-)

Samsung fridge freezers make a Moo noise, I know I have one. Apart from that it does its job.

Looks really good, hot for price. Was about to buy a Samsung the other day before I noticed the depth, be wary of this as they will stick out a lot more than most other fridge freezers.

We have a Bosch one that moos too :-)

Bought one of these a few months ago and am very happy with it. The water dispenser in the side of the door takes up a fair bit of space but you can just about squeeze a standard bottle of milk under it. Very simple to remove if you don't want it.

Some people have mentioned it's a bit noisy but I think it's fine.

I've had one for years without a single problem, but then I don't believe that proves anything either.

I have this model and it doesn't make a sound, not like my old one and to those that say Samsung is a bad brand are wrong, I would have to disagree, with a 10 yr warranty on the compressor you can't really go wrong. The water dispenser is ok I guess, its nothing special but apart from that it is a great fridge.

Yep, well i see 2 different models with similar problems as a problem the manufacturer has failed to address.

Yeah, amongst tens of thousands sold annually.

Either way, it's up to you. My point is you cannot say a brand is unreliable from one or two personal experiences, it's not statistically viable.
