did look at that one too, but as its a high use item, and a centre piece of the kitchen, thinking more for the sammy. build quality and overall look seems better.

Do they do versions where the freezer is bigger? Cant imagine ever needing 420l of fridge but do use the freezer a lot.

our current "normal freezer" is 105 litres. this sammy one is 223 litres.

Amazing these things still cost so much. 5 Years back I got an LG American Style with Refreshment Centre for £700.

From personal experience I wouldn't touch this with a bargepole.
We had a Samsung american ff and it was nothing but trouble. It would keep turning itself off randomly at any given time for no reason at all although the front display would say it was on and at the right temp.We gave up wasting money on constantly getting it fixed. If you google samsung fridgefreezer problems you'll see we weren't alone.
And you can get many american ff's for a better price than that.

I have had a similar Samsung for 5 yrs. I think it's fantastic. Best thing is how fresh it keeps all food especially veg. Forget the best before dates this thing extends it no end. Had to defrost the fridge side a couple of times but otherwise faultless. The freezer has a decent capacity but it's not deep justs fits a pizza. The water and ice options aregreat but take up a lot of the capacity. If you're not fussed for it then go for a version without for less money.

I bought a Samsung american style fridge freezer like this, with water and ice dispencer built in and it cost me £595 5 or 6 years ago, so this seems pretty overpriced to me. Great bits of kit though.
