"Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months.", lol. if this a misprice you will never see it, and even if it isnt a misprice, i dont think you will ever see it, 1 to 2 months is a long time to await an order cancellation.

Amazon always does advertise like that to cover themselves from unexpected delays but in reality it could be next week delivery, it all depends on how desperate one wants these drives, I could wait for X'mas delivery, so no worries.

Just bought Crucial 500GB M550 for £149, damn fast but only 2years of warranty compare to 10! from samsung.

is there much of a difference between this and the 840?

Great price for a newly released SSD - but considering how low the competition has gone, unless you need 100K IOPS on a database server I'm not sure it's worth it. There cannot be many scenarios where this would outperform an M550 or 840 Pro by a large margin...

If you want speed, I'd get the NGFF/M.2 version with a PCIe adaptor for far better performance unrestricted by SATA...

Once SATA Express comes along and the 850 is un-bottlenecked you should see a difference !

Agree 100%.

That said it's still a great price for those that want/need it, voted hot

It is here - see NGFF - but get that version not this SATA version. The PX941 is £400 for 512GB much more expensive.

As you say I'd get the NGFF version + cheap PCIe adapter off eBay - much faster speeds. But not all can boot...
