can you buy cheap generic refills like you can with the samsung ML laser printers?

Beware, the cartridge supplied MAY not be full. But not too bad a price for a laser printer.

Hi tasman23
Thanks for posting. I've edited/fixed a a fair few of your recent posts. Could you post the "link" into the "link" field when posting a deal please? Emmajk42 / Juliet_Bravo wrote a couple of very comprehensive and excellent guides for newcomers to HUKD here: - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/14590...tukdeals-gene/

They are well worth taking a look at.
Kind regards Andy

Yes generic alternatives are available but not exactly cheap.

I think it's a good deal, just pointing out that you can't get new cartridges at £10 for 3

This does not use 12000 page toners.. Expect more like 2000 pages ( and half that for the included starter toners).
Most new samsungs ( THIS INCLUDED) use chipped toners and have an inbuilt page counter that stops you refilling the toners ( well you can refil them but they stop printing after a set number of pages).
I found this to my cost after buying refil toner ( the sellers lie - saying it carries on printing with the toner empty light on - it does but not for long ).

I would not buy this copier as it will be very expensive to run

can you refill the toner? do it with my old printer just made hole in toner cart fill it then put rubber bung in it Used copyer toner prints ok though

Im in the market for a new printer and after i wasted £30 on an inkjet printer that cost £15 to re-fill then ran out again in 2 weeks!.....im thinking of getting a laser......

i dont really need it to be colour although im not sure of that the price difference between laser and black & white is that huge anymore?!

i wouldnt mind having the scanner/photcopier option though as this can be quite handy in the long run.

I keep reading stories about them sending out these printers with 1/3 of the cartridge filled so you have to replace them quickly which can be very expensive! ( and i dont want to get burned like that again!)

or people saying that each cartridge/toner has a microchip on them and it counts the number of pages you print and then "locks" your printer and refuses to print until you buy an original and expensive re-fill!

So i just want to some advice on what brand/printer is the best to buy and cheap/easy to re-fill...

idealy i'd like to spend between £50-£70

all advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.....

the above thread is quite informative, seems like a reset chip will be on the market mid-october for the samsung ML-2240, the printer is about 50 notes.
Thats probably the one I would go for right now
