For 'multi-function' it seems as nice price to me. Not sure of the toner costs but I'll vote Hot for the Printer itself.

This is mono - not a great price.

This is mono - not a great price.

Do you know any alternative which is very similar in print quality and running costs?
Obviously up to £150

If you mean a colour laser I would still recommend Samsung. My CLP-315 cost £99 at PCWorld at launch and has been on offer at this price since. Now replaced with minor update and I've seen them on runout at Currys for about £65. These do not have the scanner. If you want mono but with a scanner you can get a mono Samsung for under £50 and there are loads of scanners around (usually with inkjet printer attached!) from about £30.

Based on the above I'd be very surprised if you couldn't do better on the one you posted.

CLP-315 is expensive to run (black and colour mode) due to small cartridges also colour printing on that printer is waste of paper, my personal opinion is that when people want colour laser which prints accurately enough the price mark is min £250.
For instance this colour laser printer is good enough for colour printing

I've been very happy with the CLP-315. The toner cartridges are quite large (sorry, don't know how many pages they're rated at) and you can get a set of four originals on Amazon - £107 last time I bought them.

If you want the best (photo quality) prints it has to be inkjet unfortunately, though my Samsung makes a decent fist of it for most purposes.

Depends on how much printing you do, i would not pay £250 for a color laser printer for home use. Have paid a lot more in the past but not any more, If i was using it for business that would be a different matter.

That is completely true about inkjet but cheap laser colour printers are not so good in colour mode even despite cheap cartridges.
