Do people think this it is not a good deal? What do you feel is better as i am looking to buy a new TV.

Deal seems fine, Im not sure if this is good or not, since I haven't done my research.
Samsung LEDs are awesome, the technology is way ahead of current TVs.
Seems a good deal, I have a 46" Sony. Great size for a telly. Just avoid ITV channels, the picture quality looks terrible on a big screen. Football on ITV is shockingly bad on a big screen.
I went into Comet the other day and a massive one of these LED screens was staring me in the face. I was totally blown away by how good it looked.

Then went looking at other GOOD LCD's and plasmas, they just didnt meet anywhere near the standard of the LED ones.
The only reason I went for the Sony over the Samsung was that I found the screen on the Samsung annoyingly reflective. But think that was a series 6 Samsung, don't know about this range.
If you are going to sit 6' away from it great in your big lounge, anymore and you will lose the definition. Proven fact.
I am torn between this model and Samsung LE46A686 46" LCD TV; do you think it is worth paying the extra £550 for the LED technology?

Thanks for all your help
My sister has just bought the 40" version of this tv and asked me to set it up for her as she's a bit of a technophobe, after a bit of tweaking i was seriously impressed with the picture quality far superior to my 42" 1080p toshiba lcd, needless to say i'm extremely jealous considering i paid about the same price just over a year ago for my tv.:x
Rated Cold. Don't get me wrong - good TV, good price but buying something like a TV from the cheapest vendor isn't always the best idea. Personally I am trying to get my local John Lewis to price match RicherSounds (£1549.95) and will hopefully have this set next week.

Oh, the LE46A686 is a great TV BUT having looked at LOTS of TVs I found that personally I rated the UE46/40B7020 the highest and I knew I would be disappointed in the long term if I opted for anything else. "Pays yer money, yer takes yer choice" as they say.

John Lewis are only charging £1,599 anyways, why dont you get John Lewis to price match Robert Whyte Ltd and save yopurself a few more quid? £1484.99 sounds like a better price match to me and John Lewis will deliver free from Glasgow if you order over the phone.

I have been tracking this product for a while.
Because the TV is in demand Robert Whyte is only able to forfill back orders every time they get stock so you are unable to use them as a price match. As I write this they are out of stock.
I was tempted by the John Lewis price, even though they are £100 more expensive than most places you do get the 5 year warranty.
I have however just ordered with Crampton and moore because they are able to do next day delivery, 3 year warranty and a free upscaling DVD player.
