Hot from me.

Has everything I'd need in a portable laptop.

Just wish the battery life was a bit better.

Beautiful design, poor battery, and too expensive

£550 I don't see as being expensive for what your getting, this is a 13" notebook that are not as mainstream as some of the 15" & 17" models, so this is a niche market.
There are far less 13" notebooks produced in comparison to the bigger screens and less choice of manufacturers.

I suppose you would be hard pressed to find a 15" screen with I5 , 4gb ram , 320gb hd , bluetooth and dedicated graphics for less than the price of this machine.

It retails at the likes of John Lewis for £750...

What do you think would be a fair price for this??

How much would an Apple 13" with this spec cost??

I think it's a great spec and price and I almost bought it not long ago at a similar price but couldn't live with the trackpad. HP do similar track pads and I hate them for the same reason, I just can't get on with these track pads with built in buttons.

A review that confirms my issues with the pad:

Sadly I use it on my lap so a mouse isn't an option either. Shame.

Voted hot though because it's a good deal.

A very good 13.3 laptop although quite expensive for what it is, especially at £750.
I wouldn't wanna pay £150-200 more over the Q330-430 series just for an i5 + gigabit LAN and 310m on Q330 since you also get 310m on the Q430 which is a 14" screen.
Previous Q330 - Q430 was £389-£399.
But this is one of the best spec 13.3" laptop I've seen at this price.

about the trackpad issues there is a way to sort it out though, I bought one for my HP DM3 laptop the horrible mirror trackpad!

just measure your current trackpad and order it. Not only does it protect the trackpad it makes it easier to slide your finger around.

For the performance available in this form factor upto 4 hours battery is not bad at all.

Also people saying its expensive compared to a 15" model. You need to keep in mind keeping a 35w cpu and a 23w gpu cool in such a small form factor cool will require heatpipes, copper heatsinks a quality fans and lots of heat shielding on the other components, this doesn't come cheap unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I believe this is one of those laptops where the battery is actually builtin.
