I got the £250 TV version from Argos, really nice screen, I assume it's the same panel used.

Either way, it's a Samsung so good quality.

Not sure you can compare a TV with a computer monitor, but like you say they should both be good if they are Samsung's. I know this monitor has had some very good reviews, although there are different panels about. Having said that I don't think any of the panels available are duff...

There are three panels in these monitors, I forgot what they are but one of the panels they manufactured is rated top quality. I have this monitor and the panel i have is the top class one, the other panels are still awesome but not as good as the top knotch one.

I have to second that :whistling:

I know £12 is £12, but IMO it's worth paying a little extra sometimes ;-)

Voted warm.

I bought this monitor after it was found in PC world on offer - in this forum. But I had to take it back because it was NOT the same panel used in the models that the reviewers got! It was washed-out, and had VERY noticeable backlight-bleed (even my girlfriend could tell it wasn't a very good monitor :w00t:). If it's one of the great panels, then I'll go in on this offer, too! But I VERY much doubt it.

OK, some insider information for those of you looking to buy a new monitor:
Samsung recently released the new model, SyncMaster 226CW, which is better than this older model (226BW) & it's 100% Samsung panel!

Please note that this new model is not available everywhere, and it usually sold out quickly!
