for 1" less you can have same make with dvi for 135 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152583 free delivery aswell so for nearly 50 quid more for just 1 inch isnt really worth it for me personally

Great product, but is only ordered upon request at novatech.

An other option (more expensive) but same resolution is the dell one:-

its £211.65 delivered, but does have DELL name and warranty (maybe an option for some, i know that I am very tempted)

it's the resolution that makes the difference. 2048x1152 vs 1680x1050 is a massive improvement.

I can't see the benefit of it being over 1920x1080 that means 1080p will not be 1:1 pixel mapped and mid resolutions will be even more stretched.

The difference is more than the size, the aspect ratio is different 22" is 16:10 this 23" 16:9

It all depends on what you are using it for.
If you are mainly watching full HD movies, then YES, absolutely NO point in going above 1920 x 1080 as your pixels will be stretched and probably the picture quality will look worse.
If you want this higher resolution for gaming or working, then the higher the better in terms of the amount of detail or stuff on the screen at once.

Very little use imo as the desktop is already too small at 1920x1080 on a 23" and even high end cards and systems would struggle with that res for current games. Plus I doubt its universally supported at this point in time.

OTOH 1920x1080 is a standard for both video and consoles.
