Very nice... would have thought about this if I hadn't bought a new monitor for the same price last xmas - old one was a crt and needed space. Shame it wasn't around then :( lol.:santa:

Are you sure this is the "Pebble" version? I thought the model was SM2032MW?
#5
i thought the MW version had a tv tuner (non-digital)

Voted HOT!

Good price
#7
Yeah, it is a "pebble", but the version without the TV tuner.

it's a tenner more on ebuyer (free delivery over 50 quid) but you do get a 3 year warranty compared to 1 here where they're charging an extra 50 for 3 years :)

This really annoys me All the monitors these days are wobbly especially when you have them upstairs (they are not too bad if you have them on a solid floor but hopeless on floorboards upstairs in my opinion)
Its because the manufacturers make the the base's to attach to the bottom of the back of the screen instead of the middle of the screen like the dell ones do, I wanted a samsung but bought a dell one from Tesco yesterday for this reason alone, and it does not wobble at all.
#12
only problem, the glossy design attracts lots of dust...
#13
Got this exact model, paid 179 for it.

Fantastic monitor, but the way it mounts onto the base is awful (It's 2 hooks that slot into the base), it doesn't tilt much, doesn't go into portrait, and it gets VERY dusty.

But the panel itself is excellent, playing old games is a bit of a chore though as they don't usually run at 1680x1050 which means they don't look as good (blurry)

I've got a 22" pebble and that doesnt wobble. As for collecting dust samsung very kindly provide you with a little blue cloth and instructions on how to wipe the dust off (if you cant work it out ;))

All Samsung LCD monitors come with a manufacturers 3 year warranty as standard, whereas their LCD TVs are 1 year. I spoke to Samsung last week as i've just bought the MW version (with built in TV tuner), and i wanted to confirm whether this meant it would be 1 year or not. As it's a monitor first and foremost, this means it's covered for 3 years - as the BW version is.

For what it's worth, the TV version cost me £199 from Argos, and i'm very happy with it (as a monitor or a TV)!

no, all samsung monitors have 3 year warranty, all samsung tvs have 1 year. the line is getting blurred though so you have to actually check if you're buying what they call a monitor with tv tuner (like the MW version of this) or a tv with pc inputs (1 year). basically i think if it starts LE its a TV, SM its a monitor.
this is definately a monitor so it has 3 year on site as standard.

My Samung Tv is like that. I wouldn't say it attracts any most dust than any other tv/monitor but it shows it more

They do look nice though shiny piano black

Can I ask when you got this price? I just checked froogle and it listed Argos as stocking this at £199.00 as you said but when I went on the site it's £229.00? An no local stores had it in stock :(

Yep - was £199 last Thursday, but they seem to have put the price up to £230 now? Must have just been lucky i guess. Sorry!

SM2032MW (version with analogue tv tuner) is £210 delivered from ebuyer
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/132112
just went down a few punds.. duno why i'm helping them, don't even like ebuyer much.
its still in samsungs monitor range so it has the 3 year on site warranty.. and SCART input, but of course, no digital tuner.
what this is really about is do want to spend another £50 for a SCART input edit: and little built in speakers, and a remote control!

I bought the 22" version at PC world for £209 a couple of months ago, what can i say, absolutely fantastic, HD, WideScreen, Looks Nice, What more can i say? as for the wobble, you never even notice.

The only con you need to watch out for is Panel Lottery.

Are you saying you put your monitors on the floor? :?
What do upstairs floorboards have to do with this monitor?

Yep, thats why i didn't choose this one or the 22" one although the 22" is meant to be far superior than this one going by all the review sites. I was looking to spend around this much on a monitor but thought best to go another £60 more as i realised its an investment often overlooked when upgrading pc's. Installed my new monitor this morning and hotdeals has never looked so good (apart from the old design ;) ) Using the LG227WT.

I have had the 22" pebble for about 3 months now, it is the best panel I have ever had. I was worried about the panel lottery of previous models, but mine is so sharp and clear, I have not even bothered to find out if it is a Samsung panel or not.

I got mine from Comets on a £216.00 price match. I found I had one dead pixel so Comet gave me a loaner TFT while Samsung shipped me a replacement no questions asked.

I feel in this case it is better paying a couple of pounds more to get face to face service like this, try getting a web store to swap for 1 dead pixel, I bet they won't.

Ordered the 22" version of this from Laskys, hopefully it comes tomorrow or wednesday, it has been shipped :D
