This is the old model right? Because the new one is the 226. In which case i would suggest going for the LG 226 model which has much better specs and can be had for £182.

Do you have a link for the cheaper display? Still looks a reasonable price for Samsung display to me.

The LG specs are questionable. Don't believe the 3000:1 contrast ratio as they choose to determine theirs in a totally different way to all other companies. Also, the WTQ version of that monitor is appallingly bad (altough a revision may have changed that now), whereas the WT is good. It's impossible to tell which you'll get though.
Which brings me to my question - is this Samsung an A, C or S panel? In a similar way to the LG the A and Cs are poor (and made by third parties), but the S is genuine Samsung and very good.
