I really want the P2370HD but this could be a cheaper alternative, hot from me.

Good price for a decent TV / monitor. I got one of these for £199.99 from Ebuyer but it was making a loud buzzing sound so had to be returned, ended up getting an LG M227WDP for £149 because Ebuyer took too long to check the faulty Samsung. The Samsung had a decent enough picture and sound.

the picture on these are excellent but the sound is a joke. if you are going to buy make sure you are hooking it up to some speakers

Got this in October for about £210 ish in Comet and it works a charm with my 360. However, cannot tune the the digital television channels for the UK. The only options are Sweden, Norway and Finland which are really kind of stupid.

Nobody mentions that in the Amazon reviews, indeed some comment on the good TV picture quality, looks like you got a rogue one there.

can you connect this to a virgin media box? its just the standard one not HD if so how?

OK, i bought this last year, and while it works wonderfully for a monitor, its not ideal for gaming, as i found a lot of ghosting and the refresh rate really isn't for gaming quality, my xbox was OKish but PC gaming became annoying.

but a decent HD monitor and Good for Movies.

Had to reply to this one. I've been using this monitor for about a year now, and im an avid PC gamer. I do conside myself very fussy where image quality is concerned and can report there is no ghosting with this monitor. Currently playing BC2, and played many other games including the fast paced Mirros Edge, and that was fine too. Really bright vibrant colours at 1080p. Like any monitor, make sure u run it in its native 1080p resolution.

im think of buying it for web devlopment

Why didn't you take it back for an exchange, as it's obviously faulty? :?

Whilst I only had mine a couple of days I thought it was a good little set. Once I'd fiddled with the graphic equaliser the sound seemed ok to me, considering the price and the size of the speakers, which are going to be basically the same on any TV / monitor of this size.

i have this monitor and i have tuned it into the freeview here in the uk? are you sure you didnt select something during the initial setup??

But with regards to quality, brilliant monitor. especially if you need to consolidate monitor / tv space. i have my 360 and my pc connected to it and it runs both with amazing quality. i got mine for 230 last year, and at 185 its a bargain. im a little tempted to buy a second! sadly tho id be paying silly price for a tuner i wouldnt use on my 2nd monitor!

Reviews complain of poor sound, seems the case with a lot of these types of monitors. I'll pass this time round.

I think I must have an odd one that slipped through the net then as I have retried the initial setup several times. I phoned Samsung and they said I would have to return it to Currys. Honestly though, I'm not too bothered as I don't watch TV and only use it for the 360.

Really sound is a big issue? its not really a HDTV and you would be mad to use it as one. Should be hooked to a Pc with its own sound system.

Excellent Deal, makes a Xbox of PS3 look brilliant, slightly dissapointing sound though.

These types? Hardly any monitors boast decent sound, most don't have speakers because they're just that..monitors. If you want a TV, buy a TV.

whats difference between a monitor and tv anyway?

Now down to £179.99.

I've bought this from amazon but I have to return it as I just cannot accept the loudness of the buzzing it gives. Ive read about 3 or 4 comments on the net with similar issues all saying its the backlight, brightness etc. But for me its the speaker. The whine is so loud if you press mute it goes off, which pretty much means its the speaker doing the whine.

Its very excessive in pc mode and also noticeable in tv mode. But what is more annoying is you can plug in some speakers and then it goes, however if you turn off the tv (even in standby) and put it back on the tv decides to reinitiate the speaker so the whine is back, so you have to replug in your speakers every single time. Very annoying.

Furthermore you can disable the speaker, so I tried that, put on external speaker. Although it saves the setting, to annoy further again it reinitiates the speaker. Also if you press mute the mute sign stays on so you cant do that in pc mode. Also turning the volume to 0 doesnt remove the buzz, only mute does...

Ive read others with same problem so Im going for a refund, although I dont want to really as theres no other 23" ones about really. Anyone know a decent tv/monitor that doesnt whine ridiculously? (Im really not being fussy its very extreme)

Now £191 so surely EXPIRED?

Looking at what else was on offer I decided to do some DIY...

I unplugged the speaker from the monitor (Removed case)

Now I have no more hissing and its definetely them. Theres a lot of people saying its the backlight but if they look closer and try pressing mute they can see its the dreadful speakers just hissing away like no tommorow.

Anyway no more hiss now ive unplugged them. You can disable the speaker from the monitor sure, but although it stays like that on standby it turns itself back on even though its disabled.

Still a good monitor apart from that issue :)

Strange that, I sent mine back because of the loud buzzing, which seemed to be coming from the top left rear of the TV (left looking at the rear) but I'm certain it was due to the backlight settings. When I put it on the highest setting (10 I think) it stopped buzzing but any lower it started again but at various loudness levels depending on what the backlight level was set at. Ebuyer agreed with me that it was faulty and gave me a full refund.
