In case not many people look at the misc forum I'll link this thread here as the people interested in this deal are likely to be in the link too.

Possibly a widescreen 19" Samsung SyncMaster Monitor/TV for under £200 in Sainsburys. Needs confirmation though.

Sorry, but this is probably a stupid question to ask, but can you watch normal tv with this monitor?

Yes, it's got a TV tuner.

This looks like an analogue only tv and isn't an iDTV (integrated digital television) ie with freeview.

I voted at the same time Schizo, my vote has about a 30 degree weight, but I usually don't vote until I get a bit of feedback from members about the deal.

It's a shame that delivery isn't an option on this item as there's no stock in my local store in Milton Keynes. In fact, after trying just about every city the length and breadth of the country there seems to be no stock nationwide either.

Can anyone actually find one?
#13
There was one in York when I looked early this morning. Too far away for me though.

I gave the smaller 15" version of this to my son when I bought a Dell W1900 combined TV and Monitor. He has his playstation, dvd player, computer and TV all playing through it and he is well chuffed (although her keeps making comment he should get my Dell). I paid £300 for it and that was on special offer a few years ago. Anyone who buys at this price will not be dissapointed!

Well there aren't any in York any more. I think i've tried just about every major town and city in the UK (just out of curiosity) and there seems to be none any where.

They should really mark it as being out of stock or just make life easier by announcing where they actually have some.

What do you expect for £129!!!

The fact its not got inbuilt freeview is immaterial! its capable of receiving freeview by connection of an external box anyway as with most TVs! So this isnt even an issue for most. More importantly (Although you forgot to mention) its HD compatible.

Sick as a parrot as this is truely a bargain, just bought a 15" LCD for the bedroom & that was £150, Samsung are one of the best panels you can get when it comes to LCD & for the price this is a bargain.

I tried to order but all stores in my region showing out of stock :-(

It's a shame the stock was so low. The stock finder on the argos site is a constant annoyance as well. I wish they would update it.

Welcome to the forums cybertek :)

Yeah, shame about the stock and that they seem to be copying Argos's woeful stock finder. Still a good find though.
