1TB Capacity, SATA-II Interface, 5400RPM Spin Speed, 8.9ms Average Seek Time, 32MB Cache, 3 Year Warranty

Samsung's F2 Series EcoGreen Drive (F2EG) is the ideal high capacity drive for green computing environments. The new eco-friendly hard drive, F2EG is designed to meet demand for high performance devices with lower power consumption. Samsung’s EcoGreen F2 makes it possible to design storage systems with the right balance of high capacity, fast performance and energy conservation. Samsung F2EG has the world’s best areal density at 5400RPM rotation speeds. High density means more bits pass under the head faster, and it improves the drive performance. Samsung employs an advanced data recording technology, which brings the next generation technology into today’s single disk platform, enabling Samsung’s new 5400RPM drives to perform at current 7200RPM drive speeds. The internal SysMark test results confirms that F2EG performs as same as 7200RPM drive speeds, and even 10% faster than other green drives.

+£4.99 delivery making it £48.84 delivered, may as well buy some filler items to bump it to £50 and get free delivery!

Very good - marginally cheaper than scan when you include quidco. Ordered a pair for my NAS.

I'm taking 4 x 1TB drives OUT of my NAS today when my new 4 x 2TB drives arrive.

Just trying to work out what to do with the old ones.

You could always give them away... :-)

I wished ppl would get used to say whether a drive is 2.5" or 3.5" (portable/laptop or desktop). This would cause less confusion with the voting.

On the face of it a very hot deal, but most of us probably don't live near a novatech store so, unless we can find something else to buy from there, would have to pay the delivery charge. Therefore the real price is £48.84 for most people, unless they find a filler item they actually want. The thread title and price don't reflect this.

Always assume a 1TB or above is 3.5 as 2.5 1TB are not likely to be anyway near £43 for sometime yet

It only takes one click to find out. How much spoon-feeding do people need?

Most dont! It's common sense, a 2.5 drive thats 1TB would not be £43, at least for another 18 months!
