Um no I don't. Missed out on both the Seagate and WD Caviar Green 2TB deals that have been going around recently. Jumped on this one tho!

5400rpm isn't that a bit slow for 2TB?
#4
May be 2TB, but £100 for a 5400rpm drive?

Reviews say slow access times (to be expected).

Thanks, but no thanks.

Perhaps not the best drive for your main OS. Perfect for storage however. From the little information I could find on it, it seems to be one of the top performers in the 2TB range.
#6
if you're storing oodles of videos etc then the spin speed will be of no consequence.
not one for your OS.

2TB drives are not designed to have OS's put on them - they are just too big for it. 2TB drives are designed for storage and 5400RPM will not make a lot of difference compared to 7200RPM for that purpose (put it this way a 1080p mkv file will play perfectly well on a 5400RPM drive).

I would get one of these if I hadnt got the WD 2TB from the other day (I want another drive as I just RMA'd one of the seagate 1.5TB externals, but I am getting a 2 disc enclosure for the WD and would prefer another of the same for the enclosure).

As this is cheaper than the WD and the drive is just as good, this should get hotter than the 1600degrees of the WD.

Edit - Looks like I will have to grab one of these as Ebuyer are saying the WD is EOL.
