Ebuyer.com's service standards are holding up very well. When Scan.com let me down for an order with one of these drives in (that was on special at the time) by telling me at 8.30pm on Wednesday that my delivery wasn't being despatched for delivery on Thursday despite that being promised a week earlier, I ended up ordering one (and a dozen other things) from ebuyer at 5pm today and by 8pm it was showing as packed and tracker-numbered into the Citylink system for delivery on Monday! Excellent service, albeit at a premium for delivery. Though I paid £54.99 at 5pm, not the £54.95 now showing :) ie watch out for price variability!

Remember to set your delivery to 'Super Saver = free' (ie upto about 5 working days) for free delivery.

Odd, when I add it to the basket (on overclock.co.uk), it comes up with £6.95 delivery, and they add VAT onto that - total delivered price = £60.16.

Gotta go with the ebuyer one, sorry.

It's £51.99 delivered, you didn't select the free delivery option. Cold.

It's Overclock - Overclockers is something (very) different.

The free delivery was supposed to be an Easter weekend only thing. Must have been extended.

"Receive FREE Delivery on all orders placed over £39.00 exc Vat over the Easter Weekend. It starts Thursday at 19.00 until Monday at 23.59!"

On the "Your basket" page of overclock.co.uk (NOT overclockers) there's a drop down box, select "Free 1-3 day deliver (over £39+vat)" and, hey presto, free postage.

My deal ftw. kthxbye.

Might be a daft question, but can you fit SATA2 drives on a SATA1 board? I'm aware this would drop the speed (weakest link) to SATA1 but have heard good things about Samsungs HDs!

I believe so. Or rather, I've not seen anywhere that you can't.

Not a daft question but a valid one!
Answer is yes no problems at all, especially with Samsung Drives.
Most SATA II drives have jumper settings for SATA150 or SATA300 (i.e. SATA I or II) and simply switching the position of the jumper will alter the speed of the drive to suit the controller. If in doubt check the manufacturers website and search for the drive model.
I have used enough drives though to know it's pretty much unlikely you'll get a SATA II drive that can't downgrade to SATA I.

just bought 3 of these from tekheads at £51.99 each worked out at around £10 cheaper than ebuyer after 24 hr shipping was added.
