  The 840 series is coming soon at much higher prices but much higher performance for 1/6th of the power usage. I'd still buy 830s over that though for the savings.

  i got a refund on mine had a fiddly port which might have gone faulty in the future.. think i'll hold out for an 840 since they are just around the corner.

  Welshjester, what do u mean fiddly port? Had mine turn up yesterday and had no end of trouble with it on a 3 year old mono, wasn't sure if it was mobo or the drive.
