they had this for same price on ebuyer until they ran out of stock. Not really a hot deal when the seagate 1.5tb is the same price http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/10536375/Seagate-Expansion-1-5TB-External-USB-Desktop-Hard-Drive/Product.html

Yeah, but do those back up all your precious memories for ever and ever like the Samsung one does? Do they contain the magic pixie dust that somehow makes the drive immune to failure?

Lol fair enough they should go for the lucrative idiot market, but does the type of person who needs talking to like a child really have 1.5TB of data to back up?

My life's fairly crappy but luckily the Seagate has a special function allowing you to archive other people's on it so I'm still covered.

Well, either someone's (banned) IP betrayed them, or HUKD really are cracking down on controversial posts like this.

Good Lord, looks like Computerman should spend some time as 'Outintherealworldman'.
When sarcasm is lost on someone it becomes somewhat funnier. Quality.

Ok i've just had mine delivered

Nice construction, lightweight and very smart looking, but also feels robust enough. Also, pretty much silent, and the dimmable LED is nice. Very professional look overall.

I can definitely see myself buying another 1 for backup.

Love having so much space!

Splendid drive, I bought 2 when it was £97 from SCAN two months' ago. The disk is near silent and gives out very little heat, it is barely warm to the touch until intensive write for 6 hrs. It is FAT32 formatted. If you have any need for files bigger than 4GB byte each you will need to convert it to NTFS (at least a part of it). I used Partition Magic v8 to convert it from FAT32 to NTFS when new and this step took just a few minutes to convert without losing any data that is on the drive, but take back up for any key data just in case. If you quick format under Windows then you have to back out the data since a windows format would wipe the data whereas in Partition Magic the data is not lost.
