Now only available at this price at Amazon.

------------

Currently listed as out of stock with dispatch in 4-5 days at Play, but if you can wait, it's good value for a well-regarded external hard drive. Also available at Amazon, thanks to beanhead for that.

This comes with (and requires) an external power source.

Don't forget cashback!

good price, and great hard drive. thoroughly recommended.

Hot deal. Not sure if I need another one right now, but it'd be pretty cool to see them stacked!
#4
keep thinking of getting an external for all my dvd movies but not sure which represents best value for money with over 200movies i need a biggish drive thinking this might fit the bill or should i grab a 2tb one?
#5
1.5Tb should be enough for about 200 DVD's, it will fill up fast- they always do!

2 TB ones arent yet the best value in £ per gb terms. I'd be tempted to get a Samsung internal from scan 1.5tb for about £65 and then house it in a good case with esata.

and at amazon, the 1TB Story is pricier than the 1.5TB. Have ordered 3 before they run out!

Lovely piece of kit. Bought one when Amazon deal was listed - HOT!!!

I have one, good quiet drive, has eco feature so it'll power itself down with 5 mins of inactivity, i like samsung.

Unfortunately, the PSU died on day 2. Samsung did replace

I have one of these. Brilliant!

Nice but a bit old school -I'd be wanting either an eSATA or USB3 connection for any drive I buy now especially one holding 1.5TB.
#13
had one of these since last year they are amazing drives, and very reliable.

Got a couple of these blighter's myself, and have to say I think they look pretty good for an external drive.
Very quite in use, and the bonus is that they have an off switch so you can power down after a backup session should you want to.
Only disappointment for me would be that I bought my last one about a month ago, when Play were selling them at about £95 a throw. Oh well, cant win them all::thumbsup:

Just to let you know, the Iomega uses the same Samsung drive inside it as this one.

So if you can't get this one the Iomega is just the same but in a different case.

If this only had esata I would snap one up.

Price has gone up to £99.99 on Play.com

Thanks been waiting for this to come down in price again. Mate has one and the transfer speeds are pretty darn good compared to his other external hd's.

+1 - I have two of them (for data redundancy) and they are great to use!

Cheers, Scotty Boy!
