Samsung SWA 3000 Hi-Fi Surround Sound £49.98 reduced from £99.98 available for reserve & collect or free home delivery if you're lucky.

Seems a bargain to me, next cheapest on Froogle was over £70

This product eliminates the need to run wires to the back of your room as it's a wireless rear channel amplifier. It receives the rear-channel audio signals wirelessly from your system's main unit. All you have to do is connect your two (current) rear speakers to the unit and you can enjoy full surround sound - without the wires running from your system's main unit to the back of the room. (10m wireless range)

Compatible only with the following Samsung Home Cinema Systems:- HT-THX22, HT-THX25, HT-Q20, HT-XQ100, HT-TX35R, HT-X250R, HT-TXQ120R, HT-X30R

The promo code YAW935 (valid for April) should also bring it down 5% to £47.48ish

Don't forget 3 or 3.5% Quidco too (to make it £46ish)

Sorry couldn't do a direct link because of all the session ID rubbish they put in the links.... to navigate to the item its under TV DVD & Video > DVD > DVD Home Cinema > and its the top (cheapest) entry...or just type in SWA 3000 in the search box

EDIT: worked out a proper link now...

doesn't actually mean you don't need wires at the back

it stops you having to run them to the back of the room, but then requires wires from this unit to the speakers

good find though

works well with the HTTX35R

That's what I've tried to say in the OP "This product eliminates the need to run wires TO the back of your room" and uses your EXISTING rear speakers (which are wired - otherwise you wouldn't be buying this product anyway) to connect to this amplifier unit.

Did you go right to the end of check out as it states in stock with first entry of post code but then as usual with Currys the next stage says no stock.

I don't think there is any good way around this - if the speakers had no wires you would be changing batteries in them every couple of weeks.

yes agreed and also on the battery comment, but still...does defeat the object somewhat of 'wireless' reciever....

I was loking at getting it when I bought my Sammy, but then thought its kind of pointless...

This is not expired. Mods please amend. It does depend on your room set-up...if your sofa is at the back of the room then this unit means all your wires for the rear speakers are hidden behind the sofa and you haven't got wires to hide under the carpet or track around the edge of the room to the rear speakers from the home cinema unit.

True, in that case iot would be good, but if thats not the set up, or the sofa is flush to the wall with no room, its pants

However I am one of those that just runs them under the carpet anyway, therefore I don't see the wires...

Its still a good deal, voted hot earlier, but 100% depends on your room and surroundings

Hi,

I managed to get hold of this unit quite cheap on ebay, but it didnt come with the TX CARD (AH40-00131A) hence the price. Please can anyone help with any information where i can get a replacement wireless card from.

I have tried 4mysamsung (who are samsungs main part supplier - with no luck)

Any ideas or help will be appreciated.
