Not a bad price given the tuner. I got the version without tuner for £105 recently though. That plus a tv card would be much cheaper.

Poor price IMO.

If you want a 1920 x 1080 PC Monitor you can get many similar to this for less (e.g. the deals on dell SP2309W and S2409W etc)

If you want a TV then theres the deal from richersounds earlier with a 32" @ £249, and argos are doing a 26" pretty cheap atm.

But aren't you missing the point as this is for people that want a combined TV/Monitor and the items you mention don't have that functionality.

Im quite sure the above Dell's don't have a Analogue/Digital TV Tuner, 2 HDMI ports, Component, Scart, Analogue RGB, Optical Out and others i can't think of right now.

And i don't know what TV's your talking about but im quite sure there not Full HD TV's your talking about. If so can you please provide a link to them.

I was reffering to this http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/377385/technika-26-hd-ready-lcd-tv-with-bu/ and this http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/376477/hitachi-ut32mh70-32-ultra-thin-lcd-/

I have read all of your replies, but I still don't think this samsung represents good value for money.

I appreciate your opinion and finding the links. But remember this is a TV and PC Monitor built in one. So you can't really compare it to those you have said.

True, but you certainly pay a hefty premium to have it "all in one" imo.

Probably uses the same panel as this - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/371138/samsung-monitor-23-sm2343nw-black-w/

But that has a resolution of 2048 x 1152 and not 1080p like this which would be perfect (1:1) for full hd content like hddvds, blurays etc.

Does this TV come with remote control ?

yes it does :)

I was going to order this for the kids bedroom - which is better (ignoring the inch difference)?

"does it come with a remote control" lol can you actually get TV;s that don't??
#15
Not hot at all really, only a few quid less than just about everywhere else. If you are after a decent Samsung Monitor you could try http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-086-SA&tool=3 . It has a larger screen and better resolution, although no Freeview.

Nice find. They both get good user reviews but the LG seems to have more inputs. I'd be tempted to save money and go with the LG which can be found cheaper than at Ebuyer; use Google product search.

If you are going to wall mount the TV then the LG may not look so good as the stub of the stand sticks out. If you are not going to wall mount and use mostly as computer monitor, why not go for the Samsung T220HD (720p resolution and 16:10 format (better for computer work)). Or better still, save yourself some money and get the UMC 21.6 inch, full HD 1080p, widescreen LCD TV/monitor.

Thats what is attracting me towards the LG - fantastic connectivity. Not going to wall mount.

Can't really see it any cheaper elsewhere - some prices on google search are net of VAT or then whack on large delivery charges.

Nice monitor - shame it's a Dixons offering. Would never buy anything from these bunch of rats. They are known to take your orders then cancel them because 'they no longer expect it to be in stock' ! - when in the first place they knew about it anyway. Most of their sale items are never in stock. It's their way to get people on to their web site.

Only 1 SCART & 1 HDMI and seemingly VGA only so no DVI. I'd rather pay more for the LG.

Ordered from Digital Fusion and they were delivered yesterday afternoon. Seem a very reliable supplier.

im looking at the Samsung SM2333HD but didnt notice this thread until today! unfortunatly this tv/monitor is now £250 at dixons and £255 at ebuyer!

anybody know a place where it's selling cheaper or do you think i should just wait?

people seem to give the samsung good reviews but im not sure if its worth the extra £60 compared to the LG here:

http://www.digital-fusion.co.uk/Inu_products/INU_ProdDetailsL9.asp?ref=31823925

would you wait, pay for the samsung which has 3 years gaurantee or save the cash and go for the LG?

im really stuck, as there always seems somebody who knows of a better deal or a cheaper price! i like the idea of having 3 years gaurantee though, seems alot more value for money.

any suggestions?

thanks

LG is very good in my opinion. Full HD, excellent connectivity, Freeview. Lots of settings. Looks good and performs well.
#32
I have had two of these tv's from Ebuyer, and aside from the poor service when there is a problem from Ebuyer, both Tv's were faulty and poor quality, although Samsung make the best panels, their electronics is pretty poor, av oid like the plague
