I was looking at this ok it does have sound build in but it 40000:1 as against 70000:1 and it don't have HDMI and it uses a bit more power . . so am still looking for the perfect monitor . . .but both are good prices
Does the samsung have head phone socket???

Unless i'm missing something the monitor you linked too is only 1600x900 and is a refurbished model, this one is new and is 1920x1080?

How about this Dell? Dell ST2220L

Comes with 3year warranty & much better dynamic contrast and nearly halved power consumption.

Cracking price for a Full HD HDMI monitor.

That HP doesn't even come close. I've been looking for a 22" HDMI monitor for ages (bought a second hand Asus VH226H for £80 last week) and the cheapest I could find new was an Acer at £118. Even that's out of stock now.

Definitely hot, I may have even bought that last week. Mind you, I'm very pleased with this Asus.

Scan offer free delivery for AVForums members. All you need to do is register, post 20x, be a member for at least a week. :)

Is there a great difference between this one and the Dell, looking for something to work as a 2nd monitor for photoshop, dont mind the bit extra if there is a visable difference on a still image?

I am a member of AV even if had 20 posting ( think I have only posted a hand full here) the postage is still £12.50 extra (some even want to charge £19.95 ) and yet many incl ebayer and nova and many others its free P&P even for me ( in Northern Ireland) so if some companies can offer free or low cost P&P why can't others

Dell is a really nice monitor, main advantages are lower power usage and contrast ratio. It also has touch controls instead of buttons.

I have not used the Samsung.

It has now sold out (it was 1920x1080 with DVI).

Dell are selling the listed monitor on their site for £159.00 with free shipping. You can buy the same monitor off Scan for £136.76 but you have to pay separately for shipping.

Therefore, there's no such thing as free shipping. You always pay it, it's just hidden in the price. Companies like Scan that charge it separately may have decided to take a more transparent approach and show the shipping separately. If you buy a few items off Scan in the order then you may pay less for shipping because it can be sent in one consignment. It just depends on the nature of the supplier: if it's normal to buy a lot of stuff in one go then shipping will be separate but if the site owner's expect most people to buy single items then they will build it into the price shown.

No I get free shipping from Scan so it is free. The free shipping may not be available in NI.

Courier mucked up on ebay but I got mine today (similar price). Thanks for the recommendation, waiting on a DVI to HDMI adapter and I'll see it in its full glory.
