no hdmi NO SALE

i have one of these and its a great monitor with one exception . the stand is fixed so no swivel tilt etc so i have to use 2 bottle tops under it to get the right viewing angle for my desk.
#4
i got this monitor paid £150 that time. height not adjustable, no problem use a agros catalogue to get the right height.
#5
Excellent price, good to see DVI monitors are coming down in price. A pair of these wouldn't make a bad dual monitor setup. Same res as a 24".
#6
Basically a tv for £100 thats full hd sounds good to me

You are aware that DVI is identical to HDMI in terms of video, it just doesn't carry audio like HDMI.

£99.99, what do you expect?

Personally, great deal. I've seen this in action after my mate got one from ebuyer couple weeks ago (and now he'll be gutted now i tell him it's cheaper now). Like already said, only downpoint is that it's not height adjustable, but the quality of the picture is excellent!

If this has HDCP it's a bargain...does it?
#13
Connect up a HDMI Freeview box and some speakers and you've got yourself a cut price LCD TV.

Connect up a HDMI Freeview box and some speakers and you've got yourself a cut price LCD TV.

And add a HDMI - DVI connector, hope that the freeview box has a 3mm audio output (doubt it) and shell out for some speakers, oh and then remember to sit infront of the screen 'cos as a TN panel the viewing angles will be poor, oh and don't forget the plug adapter for those 3 power sources you're now running....and oh yes, no remote control, so buy a big stick to point at the freeview box outputting pure 480p onto your full HD Monitor !!!!

Or......buy a TV instead, radical idea I know - lol

btw, the deal is HOT for a monitor ! H&R Orig Poster

Freeview HD?

£100 a box, you have to live in a Freeview HD area, and Freeview HD is 720p, so still not up to the marvellous 1080p panel. Lastly don't freeview HD boxes have Optical Out for sound, meaning you can't just plug powered speakers into it unless they take Optical, meaning more expense

Hot and ordered! Was after a nw screen..was either the benq 24 inch but reviews on this are very very positive..check out testfreaks!

Had my Syncmaster 2450 for a month...all seems fine at the....................arrrrgghhhhhhh :|

Don't forget Samsungs come with a 3 year Manufacturers warranty too
#24
Like the pixel density. Hot from me.
#25
Have 2 Samsungs aroung the house... nether have developed dead pixels in the time ive had them. IMO they are cracking monitors... better than the LGs, Benqs, Hansprees out there for the same price.
#26
Does text look OK ??, seems a small screen for 1920 x 1080
#27
Just ordered 2, was gutted ebuyer had sold out until i saw this, been eyeing them up for a while.

RCA to 3.5mm, problem solved. Also yeah sure its a monitor, but for £99.99 with something that can be potentially turned into a TV is fantastic. I don't know of any decent 22" TVs around this price. What's with all the pessimism?

Not pessimism, but just seems a lot of faffing / adapter city, however each to their own, it's a cracking monitor, and the diff between my 24" model and two of these 22" would have been just £40, I wish the deal had been around a month ago !
#31
Was going to buy the 24" tonight until I saw this. Thanks. Heat added
#32
want the same but 23"
#33
huh?
from my understanding, these monitors do not provide sound, so it is just useless to have a hdmi output, since hdmi provides pic and sound.

Dvi, from my understanding, can provide hd images but no sound. Hence dvi is sensible.

Yes, that is the point we were trying to make to the person complaining about HDMI. It has no speakers ergo HDMI is pointless. DVI is identical, just doesn't carry sound.

I got one of these and it does tilt - it did take some movin though.

Here we go again..

I placed an order for this last night and triple checked that everything was in stock. I then received an order confirmation.

Then when I just checked back on my order it tells me the item is out of stock. Do you think anyone at Play even bothered to send me an email to let me know??? This sh*t seems to happen every time I try to order anything from Play.

Put simply Play.com is an abortion of a company!
#37
So was this a misprice? Really annoyed I missed it.

Wheres the next cheapest place for this monitor?

I have 3 of them and now am hunting a 4th to complete my setup, so it has to be this same model.
#38
ordered two one dispatched and one awaiting stock :( need it for dual config.
#39
got the monitor today with a huge scratch on the Screen, Going back on monday :)

Recieved mine late yesterday evening. Easy to install. Started to have problems with watching films ended up getting blue screen trying with VLC player. In the end used Media player and put Clash ofthe Titans on. Took a little time to warm up to the colours but after that it was a pleasure to watch
