It was £179.99 when the bank holiday started, but they put up the price of this one and the non-HD version just before I bought it...

Don't miss the fact that the surround is Rose Black - i.e. it's got a reddish tint to it. You wouldn't want to miss that and be disappointed when it arrived!

Perfect timing, parents telly in the caravan went kaput last week, will point them in the right direction. Has all that they will need without confusing them! Thanks.

I bought one of these last time round - don't forget to go via Topcashback too for additional money back! I love the monitor which I use as a bedroom TV - it looks really nice. However, I still haven't managed to track down a wall bracket and an adjustment kit - all the stockists were out of stock when I bought it!

Decent price!

It's amazing how much profit a manufacturer can make by simply adding a cheap freeview tuner to an LCD monitor.

Considering the tuner-less version has a better screen and is £20 cheaper, I'm guessing not a lot :?

Its been this price on ebuyer for ages.... http://www.ebuyer.com/search?q=T220HD

Apparently the speakers are a bit crap

don't forget QUIDCO

good price and great telly,

i am currently using the 24" version (which i paid £350 for last summer!) and i have gotta say the picture quality is amazing. the 1080p is great especially on my ps3 and the screen is crisp in pc mode as well. the only down side to this telly/monitor is the sound isnt great but its ok, but on your pc and ps3 most people will have external speakers anyway so problem solved ;)

It isn't quite as simple as that because there is additional duty of 14% plus the vat on televisions compared to an LCD monitor given that it's likely to be assembled outside of the EU.

It was cheaper at Ebuyer yesterday, it is no longer, that makes it a decent price now.

Asda had the 24" version for £235 instore a couple of weeks ago so might be worth checking there before getting this ...

I'd personally go for the 24" over this 22" (plus you're not 100% guaranteed to actually get the account credit) :whistling:

Why aren't you guaranteed? At least back that statement up with something.

Did ebuyer give you £40 in your account? If so then I'm sorry, but I thought £200 and £40 back at ya was a great deal

"This Samsung LCD TV Monitor is equipped with an invisible speaker system that delivers clear and crisp sound quality. For an enhanced surround sound experience this 22 LCD screen also features SRS Tru Surround XTTM audio technology."

I'd disagree with that claim - I've tested a couple of these small Samsung TVs and the volume level is ridiculously low - there's no way you could watch this as a TV unless you were sitting right next to it.

My T220 can get quite loud. Not as loud as the "main" TV in the house, but, loud enough!

The Rose Black looks better than the standard Black in my opinion.

Bought this TV in March - very good TV, really happy with it, excellent for gaming, sound quality is good, ideal for a bedroom.

The only drawback is switching between inputs. It seems with many Samsungs atm that you have to press 'source' until it switches to the required input. Only slightly annoying, would prefer a list menu to scroll between. But this is very minor.

I have the volume around 18-20 for TV watching, up to about 30 for DVDs on my xbox - so out of 100 thats not very high :?

this is not full hd....but still a good deal, i feel the LG model (LG M227WD 22") has better specifications then this...

I have the T220HD and I'd have to disagree, the volume levels are more than adequate. I use it daily and rarely need to take it up to a fraction of the maximum capability.

I'm very pleased with it, a very nice screen and plenty of monitor inputs which is ideal as mine's shared between a Wii, DVI and HDMI PC/Laptops. One thing that's probably been mentioned is that this isn't true 1080P, must do some scaling but not something I've tested.

I've had a bad experience with LG - especially their warranty repair service - won't buy an LG again...

It has good reviews and comes with a 3 year on-site warranty.
It’s Full HD and has a very good range of connections: dual HDMI, dual SCART etc.
I’ve had good experiences with LG and would go for that over this.

my Dad bought this exact TV from CDiscount under the Samsung offer a month or two ago. Was supposed to get 20% credit and didn't get a thing... support guys were not interested.

That enough 'backing' for you?

Ebuyer had it for £170.. but no longer, so this is the better deal now. :)

Instead of being a sarcastic numpty, you could have stated why in the first place rather than expecting people to take what you're saying without any mention of what happened.

I have the LG M228WD - stopped working one day, just had a blank screen and nothing was working - my problem is with LG and their **** customer service.

They seem to have outsourced the repairs department and neither seem to take responsibility for getting the TV back to the customer as quickly as possible - took about 6 weeks, by which time I was pulling my hair out, and each week got the same story - "waiting on parts, try again next week" or "you'll have to ask LG/Company X about that" - which ****** me off no end.

But other than that - the TV is fine, a range of inputs, picture is good, sound is not so good, quite tinny and screeches a bit when it hits some notes (i.e. Band of Brothers intro music) - but I do think the Samsung T220HD is better...

So would you expect someone to write "quidco isn't always guaranteed" for every quidco post someone mentions? thought not.

:whistling:

The fact is, discounts / credits / cashbacks etc are not always guaranteed, therefore people should not get their hopes up that they will get theirs.

Yes, most people may get it .. but not everyone is guaranteed - hence my post.
