It depends if you want to watch freeview as I don't think that particular LG has it, only alot of connections. So this is really a pretty good bargain.

if it had built in dvd I would have snapped it up

going to go for the bush in argos which is reduced to 184

That would be a terrible mistake.

I've just this minute bought the same thing! I found some excellent reviews! So of course I've also voted it hot! (I've been watching it for a while on the site hoping it would go down in price! LOL!)

Does anyone know whether it can be wall mounted as I'm buying it as a bedroom TV - and if so, what brackets I will need? Ta!

I bought one of these a couple of months agao from CDiscount, paid £199 for it and i have to say it is very good value for money IMO.
I have just had a look at the back and i don't think it can be wall mounted, ther isn't anywhere to fix the wall bracket to.
#8
Yes it can be wall mounted but not with a standard wall bracket , there is a bracket available , do a search on google.

Thanks OP - have been debating buying a TV like this for a while - and have gone for this one

Heat and rep added

Please tell me you are kidding - there is NO comparison Samsung v Bush - oh give me the Samsung any day. You'll be hugely disappointed if you do buy the Bush. They are just awful.

I bought the T200 20" Widescreen monitor and it's super. If this TV is half as good then it really is a bargain.

I'm so tempted.....

LOL, just read the comment above that someone was going to buy the BUSH TV over this Samsung

They must enjoy pain :)

I bought the T200HD (the 20" inch version of this set) from Costco, and took it back after a week, the viewing angles and brightness really bugged me and gave me eye strain. I bought an Apple 20" Cinema Display instead. Yes it was £400, but the picture quality is superb and no more eye strain.

Looks like the prices on CDiscount have dropped today - I bought my T220HD at 11.30am this morning, for £190 using the codes, and now the start price is £189.99!!

So after using codes, the price is now £180.48 !!! :?

I've been jipped out of £10 arghhh

Edit - says there is a 24 hr price crash on - today!

Great stuff, even cheaper!

Just to let some that might be thinking about buying this know, I bought this very same LCD off CDiscount last month when they also had a deal on it.

I am very impressed by the quality of it. It is an excellent picture on SkySD and the unit itself is very nice looking with the rose finish. It is a perfect size for a small to average sized bedroom and has plenty of connections round the back.

Also found the service from CDiscount excellent.

Buy with confidence.

You think thats bad, i bought the £750 Samsung LE40A656 on thursday, the weekend came and they had 15% account credit on all overs over £100 - well and truly gutted.

That LG does have Freeview and unlike the Samsung has more connection options (great for having your old consoles hooked up). It also has a higher resolution than the Samsung being capable of full 1080P and just for good measure has a 3 year warranty.

No doubt cdiscount will have it in another special soon! ;-)

Bad mistake. Are you for real? Bush vs Samsung. Talk about pain. Fair enough, they are both in a different league in their own merits but 9/10th of all times, you are buying a monitor to view so a better quality monitor is a absolute MUST.

You rather go for cheap as chips. Bush don't make their own panels but buy them & re-brand them as their own. Give me a Samsung anyday. Save the money & pay a tad bit more. You won't be regret it.

Sorry to appear stupid...but as well as the bracket - if I want a swing arm thingy - I will need to buy that as well? I am assuming that the bracket will then fix to the arm with no problems? I have a outside wall that I'd like to put it on but need it angled.

Thankyou!

Also.....has anyone found anywhere that has the TWMB-1900 wall bracket actually in stock????

its for my sis, I've pointed out the samsung is much much better but it is for her bedroom wall and she wants the dvd player built so no more wires, plus no where for the dvd player to sit.

I got this monitor/TV from Cdiscount last month. Fantastic, great picture, great value and Cdiscount service has been superb. Only slight negative as with the majority of TV's is that the sound lacks bass. Hooked mine upto a samsung surround system so its great now. Fanastice with my xbox 360 as well. Buy with confidence

Good to hear, ordered mine this morning :-D

Plan to use mine for my 360 - will have to compare with my LG M228WD when I get it back from repairs - the one with the better sound will be used as my TV, the other as my monitor
#32
How good / weak is the sound on this ? I note the comment above about lack of bass.

This should be a better budget combo for you rather than the Bush. :)
I've read some positive reviews from people who have bought this.

Like the others state though, you really should forget about a combo and buy separates.

this is a nice deal, I just don't know if their delivery partner HDNL would compensate the price you pay for this. I just ordered a Samsung 24" monitor from on Mar 18, and today, 24th of March, I tracked and trace from HDNL website and it says "unable to deliver - carde" I have been at home for the whole day and nobody from HDNL turned up, what a waste of time indeed, waiting for 6 days for nothing.....good luck to those who buy, hope your experience won't be same as mine....
