I just had to cancel a PSU I had on order from them last week, after waiting over a week and having my account sit there saying 'order in progress' I contacted them and they admitted they were still waiting for it to be sent from a warehouse to themselves so they could check it themselves. I'm not sure how they were going to check it but regardless I cancelled and ordered from Scan instead. The difference was night and day, got a text from Scan less than 2 hours later saying my goods had been dispatched but I guess that's the difference between a good and bad company. Suffice to say I won't be using them again anytime soon.

Can someone explain if this could be a choice for my daughters bedroom, as a wall mounted TV, even though it is primarily marketed as a monitor (why is this?)?

I assume it can be wall mounted and takes a standard co-axial input from a roof mounted aerial, to watch freeview.

Does it have an analogue tuner, if not, then is this why it is not sold as a TV?

Thanks

So its a TV yeah?
#16
So, does it have inbuilt speakers?

Any reason NOT to just use as a TV?

i'm struggling to see why this is getting hot when it's cheaper elsewhere?

nope just a double up, so is as good a use for both, which to be honest i think ALL LCDs should do anyways as doesnt cost them much more to incorporate it.

there is a big difference in TFT with dvi etc and TV (and TFT) with 2 HDMI connecters with built-in freeview etc!

is it not Refurbished + 1 year warranty???
#23
Very poor viewing angles in review, much worse than S-IPS or S-PVA panels.
#24
dunno about monitor but looks nice, am tempted but maybe i will do for a TV rather than a monitor,
as regards to savastore, i hear a lot of bad press on here about them,
i have used them, had to go through a security check with them on my CCard first which was a bit of hassel but i may have inputed some wrong info so it may be my fault.
delievery was good for me, came quick no dead pixels either

I have this tv, it's got a great picture, especially with hd. Freeview good also, had it running next to my main Sony 40w2000 and most people thought it looked better. Only negative is the sound is very tinny. I have a logitech pc speaker system plugged in to the headphone socket.
#28
Picked up this set a few weeks back, yes it is usable as a TV, yes it does have in built speakers but as others have said the sound is very tinny and really lets it down as a standalone TV, in my opinion.

I currently run mine through my stereo using the headphone jack which improves the sound massively, but it's a faff and I'm not even really an audiophile.

As someone else mentioned the viewing angles also aren't great which won't be a problem for the majority, but is worth noting if it's going to be sitting significanlty above the viewing position (i.e. on top of a reasonable-sized chest of drawers for viewing in bed).

i dont understand why people care about viewing angles? if monitor is main usage i ALWAYS sit dead in front of it.
And even my tv i sit at an angle that is acute anyways, normally around 20-25°!

I got mine from Cdiscount 2 weeks ago. Fantastic. I can confirm that the others on ebuyer are monitor only without the TV freeview. Cdiscount do a really good deal where you can spread the payments over 3 months (ish) with no interest. I got great service from them too arrived in 3 days. Highly recommended bit of kit. As for viewing angles. I find it more than acceptable. Not as good as a plasma tele but then no LCD will be. PIcture quality is fantastic. Only slight negative is the lack of base from the built in speakers when watching TV. However the sound is acceptable as a second TV for kitchen, bedroom etc. Some reviews talk about it being unstable on the stand I would disagree. Unless you have a desk that moves when you press the keyboard its fine. I would recommend and the slight red tinge looks great too.

Yeah it's got inbuilt speakers, I use mine for freeview & pc monitor, need to adjust some of the settings for freeview, picture looks naff with default settings. Got one a few week ago when CDisdcount were doing it for £189.99. Have seen them reduced to £200 at Asda in the Birchwood Mall, Warrington, but was in Wigan Asda today and couldn't see any.

Excellent as a pc monitor and good picture for freeview, I'm using a One4all indoor aerial.

Has a weird habbit of switching itself on once after being put into standby (but with no picture just sound for a few seconds) then goes off  but apart from that excellent TV/monitor.

We've been having the same thing happen with our 26in that we've just bought.

Gj on the people that responded with the guy that didn't get his facts right.

Frustrating when I see people specifically out to ruin other peoples deals.
