The ticket on the shelf said £250 down to £235 :?

Then again, there are sometimes differences between store and online price. Little Big Planet is down to £19 instore, but £8.91 online!

There were 5 or 6 boxes left on the shelf in Hartlepool this morning for anyone interested.

Another option is the LG M227WD 22” HD set for £195 from CDiscount with postage and Quidco needing to be applied as well as any possible codes.
It’s 16/9 whereas the Samsung is 16/10 which means for TV viewing they should have a similar size picture unless the Samsung stretches it to fill the screen.
The Samsung certainly has the advantage as a monitor with a higher vertical resolution of 1200 versus 1080 as well as being 2” bigger.

The samsungs can stretch the picture or show a true 16/9 pic (with black bars top/bottom). 'Most' so called small LCD TVs use 16/10 panels but don't have a true 16/9 mode so you're forced to watch everything vertically stretched.

I am seriously thinking about getting this, is anyone else? This does seem like a good price!

Just bought the newer 23" model from Currys for £239, and I think it's pretty much identical except the aspect ratio is 16:9

i've got this in 20 inch. fantastic tv/monitor. Used on ps3 more than anything. Picture is real sharp. Would recommend this tv.

2 things I have issues with:
1) When not sitting directly in front (e.g. at an angle) then really dark shots/scenes on the tv are not very clear. I think the technical term is fading. Issue is resolved pretty much by moving the screen towards you.

2) The speakers are pretty poor. Putting the volume up doesnt always make too much difference. Today I'm shopping for some new speakers to connect to this tv!
#31
I couldn't find it anywhere in Birmingham. :(
#32
Just managed to get hold of one of these.
Well chuffed, excellent quality picture on my Xbox 360 and digital tuner is good. No issue with volume unlike previous post, maybe I haven't turned up as loud.

5 left in stock at Asda Halifax for those of you in Yorkshire.
Thanks OP, voted hot.

Bought one of these last night from Hartlepool and I'm quietly impressed. I'm fairly picky about monitors as I spend my working days using photoshop in front of an NEC Spectraview 2690, a £900 monitor. I bought this for home use and the image quality is really decent, especially considering it how much less it costs. I haven't had a chance to calibrate it yet, but reducing the brightness and contrast immediately improved the overly bright out of the box settings. There is a little bit of brightness fall off on the vertical axis, but it's edge to edge sharp with no dead pixels. The freeview picture ( for MOTD this morning ) isn't stellar , a bit pixelated especially around movement, but that's not going to be it's main function so it's good enough.
There were at least 6 units left yesterday, possibly more behind a pallet. My wife has been casting envious glances at it so I may be making another trip to Hartlepool later ... Big thanks to OP, voted hot.
The sound is a little tinny mind..

The deal is "INSTORE ONLY" - when you create a 'deal' it auto populates a link to the on-line version of the store irrespective of whether you can actually buy the item on-line or not.

Great to see that some HUKD-ers are managing to find stock and can benefit from this deal :-D

So guys, When do we think this will drop in price again?? :-) Someone mentioned the high likely hood that this would drop again....

Got this last night, its really good. Only one store near me had them, it was £235 but used my brothers asda employee card and got it for £211.50!

Its good as both a monitor and TV, I only tried Xbox 360 on it so far and using it as my monitor now. I was disappointed with the picture when I first connected the Xbox, but the settings were off, I put it on movie mode and it looked far better, it had way too much sharpness on the default setting and some other things too high. I adjusted the monitor settings too, slightly too high contrast but it looks great now.

You get a power cable, analogue and dvi cable and cable to connect to seperate speakers and of course a remote control.
