This is probably a great deal - I confess I dont really know and wont vote, but 3000 texts started me thinking (if my maths is correct lol)....
if 1 text takes say 2 minutes from picking up your phone to the message being sent thats over 4 days a month of solid texting or 1 day a week... or even 3.5 hrs a day, no eating, no sleeping no nothing just texting- but if you did find any spare time I suppose you could use up the 10 hours of talktime...

Got this deal for £20 with unlimited web with 02 retentions.

I was set on getting this phone for a while, but then I read that the nokia 5800 had wi-fi. Fairly close to getting this offer now, but still unsure 100%.

May give the Ultra another another chance .....

lol, most Unlimited text offers have a fair usage policy limit of 3,000. Believe it or not but it is actually possible to go over that without even realising, I do it all the time and so do quite a few people I know :) lol its only a 100 texts per day for 30 days, lol

Find that really hard to believe 02 gave you that plus unlimited web. Have you been with them for a while? Just looked at 02 website and find it hard difficult to believe they gave you that for £20, have they tied you to a 24 month contract.

thanks Teromi for the heads up on the 5800 deal. I am looking for one of those on a decent deal. Annoyed I missed out on it free on 02 at Carphone warehouse over 18 months but this might just do me!

I was determined I was going to have the ultra, but when I had a play with one it was a little disappointing. It looks lovely but it seems not an awful lot going on inside. And then Tmob wanted £44 for it on my £36 a month tariff and I've been with them 3 years..................couldn't do it, felt ripped off and the ultra just didn't seem good enough to part with my hard earned cash for! Might have if it was free though as I loved the idea of a huge touchscreen with a keypad!

Husband has the Nokia 5800 and if you can live without a keypad go for that, awesome phone!!!! Blows the ultra out of the water.

Got the £15 off tariff from retentions. Choose unlimited web as free bolt on, so £20 a month for 18 months. On the other hand having had the phone for a couple of days I am not that sure that the phone is very good. Internet browser is rubbish, screen quality is poor compaired to my old W880I.:thumbsup:

o2 will give you their first born to stay. Latest I got from them was 18 months sim only. £25 PM contract reduced to £10PM for the duration. Good, but also gave me £120 credit on the account.

So 18months for £60!!:whistling:

Just an update - This is a really good deal for people who want this phone on a new contract. I spent the day on the high-street going between various phone shops and none of them could do a price match with Phones4u's offer - all of the networks wanted £35 a month.
