Overview

With its incredible picture and ultra-slim design, Samsung LED TV will Change the way you look at television.

By replacing ordinary fluorescent backlights with multiple LEDs that brighten, dim or turn off altogether depending on the picture on screen, Samsung LED TV gives you authentic blacks, enhanced brightness and better colour gradation. Samsung LED TVs are 70% slimmer than equivalent fluorescent backlit televisions. This optimised structure makes the Samsung LED incredibly Slim
It features Samsung Motion Plus and Samsung Medi@2.0 technologies, Samsung Motion Plus runs at 100Hz, twice the rate or more of ordinary televisions, so even the fastest action scenes are precise, clear and blur-free.

Samsung Medi@2.0 turns your TV into a fullfeatured multimedia player. So now you can sit back, relax and enjoy content from a range of sources including:

* Internet@TV
* Wireless DLNA
* USB 2.0 Movie
* Content Library (Flash)

Remote controller and its reception is very very poor on my 40" 7series. Stay away.

yes, they are LED BACKLIGHT, small leds around the screen, other brands are bringing them out with led across the whole of the screen not the edge.:thinking:

Also Samsung not great sound... But thats just my opinion!:whistling:

Doesn't the fact it's below £1,000 and the Sony true LED telly (which is only about a 14" widescreen) is about £4,400 give a bit of a clue?
Plus Samsung state quite clearly (for anybody who bothers to read further than the first few lines) that these sets are LCD backlit by LEDs around the edge.

I note Sony have also changed the wording on their "fake LED" tellies to state "edge LED".

closest price seems to be approx. £770 (most being £849)
some people may want this model.. good price for them.

Well i bought the 46" of this telly and everything is just fantastic. Picture is far better than any other Plasma, lcd including the Panasonic G15. Yes it has LED's around the edge. Who cares this tv blows any other out of the water.

Would not buy from dell thought!

Hmm think you are perhaps getting confused with LED and ORGANIC LED (OLED). You can get a "proper" 46" LED telly for half the fugure you quoted mate :thumbsup:

Nah, think will opt for a 32'' LCD Sammy that's around half the price.

I am trying to find out what the diff is between the dell one and the other 2 versions floating around is the dell an older model versus the w one or the straight 7020?

i have had two samsungs but swapped them both for other brands due to the sound, even the guy in currys when i was looking at a similar model to this agreed you really need it connected to a speaker system!
