Trying to find a good deal on this tv today! Its also this price at richer sounds and also has the 5 year warranty.

Been waiting for it to break down through £250 for a few weeks and have hunted around all the websites this morning for a deal. FWIW it is slightly cheaper via Co-Op Electrical if you are a member and have their £15 off code, but JL is the better deal with the extra warranty.

Heat added!

I may crack and get the H5000 and get a Samsung blu ray player for 50 quid. Would allow one remote control of both and you also have a blu ray player

you can get the Bluetooth sound hub thing too.

bought this when it was last at this price some months back. bought another beginning of this month knowing it would drop again, sent this in this morning to match themselves (28 day price match).

easy.

only thing is Android to them means a Samsung device. so don't expect your phone or tablet to become a remote for this and there are no alternatives for the H series yet.

thanks op

Thanks OP, waiting for the price drop, ordered.

bought this the other day (for 20 more unfortunately) - really pleased with it

This TV got everything I need except 3D. The same samsung series 6400 model with the 3D option costs £379! Too much for me to justify the extra money, so I have ordered the £249 version from JL. thank you!

So did I! However, I bought it from John Lewis within last 28days and was able to submit a price match under there 'never knowingly undersold' policy. Not sure if this may help you?

Did you also claim for the free WAM250 hub & deezer & MUBI subscriptions?

Got this for 280 a while ago, fantastic TV. I think It's worth paying for the extra £50 for the smart features. If you are someone who likes everything in 1 place, such as browser/apps/catchup/live pause/ then smart TV is for you. You can attach a flash drive or external hard drive and you can watch 1 HD program while recording another HD channel. You can only record and watch another program if both channels are on the same Multiplexes. I find it a good alternative to paying a hefty fee for a PVR recorder or monthly TV bills. If you use the Smart TV features quite a bit, i'd recommend buying the samsung touch remote.

Only bad experience i have had with this tv is it's slowness on reacting to commands. The keyboard is slightly slow. For example it's one of those that slowly builds up speed so you can't quickly whiz around the keyboard. It's slow for all other features involving commands so you have to be slightly patient. You get used to it, definitely not a deal breaker for me, but would be nice is it reacted faster to multiple commands in quick succession from the remote.

Finally ordered! Been watching this one for months, Also Richer Sounds had it onlne for a couple of days also with 5yr guarantee but now is only in store. The John Lewis online ordering kept putting me through an infinite loop so I called them and they said likely due to demand or system reboot, try in half an hour or order now by phone but when he tried he said their system was down too so he couldn't either !

Anyway , it ticks all the boxes I need, not interested in 3D and bigger screen would look silly in my room set up.

Out of stock at JL now though they have got more in quite quickly in the past, otherwise still elsewhere for the same without the 5 year warranty.
