Bought today from the Middlesbrough branch. This is priced in store at £849.99 but online it is priced at £819.99 but the website states that it is unavailable to buy online and only available instore so you should mention the online price to the manager or salesperson at your local branch. However if you sign up for the VIP Club on the website, once signed in this TV is priced at £799.99!!! which is the price I paid today. Plus you can buy a 5 year extended warranty for 10% of the value of the TV. This is not graded it is brand new boxed. I originally called into the branch on Saturday but they had only one in stock and that was reserved so they told me to call back today and one would be available for me to collect.

This telly is as much as £1100 on some sites, I know it is not the new 8 series (3d) but it is super slim, less than 30mm in depth, 100hz and is one of Samsungs internet enabled set when used with additional USB dongle. Im very happy with this set. Dark Knight on Sky HD is looking awesome much better than my Sony Bravia.

I've been pondering on one of these for a while, this is the cheapest I've seen this model. Other similar prices carried the risk of cash backs, delivery etc.

I paid £1100 for one of these at Christmas, including a 5 year warranty, and I seriously think this is the best thing I've ever bought EVER... the picture quality is excellent, the ultra-thin design is sublime and it's so intuitive even a numpty like me can do almost anything on it!

I'd gladly buy it again at the same price, so if you can get it for £799 it's a steal...

Why do they keep advertising these tv's as LED - when its only LED backlit - marketing i suppose.

I have a Sony KDL40V4000. Was waiting for the new Sony nx703 to come down a bit but its not budging from £1100+ and the monolith stand that goes with it was £200 extra so after 15 yaers with Sony i've jumped ship. Blu Ray is amazing on this Samsung from what i've just watched.

I know people have reservations about Richer Sounds but they were excellent today and as I elected not to go with the 5 year warranty today I thought a great touch was when the sales assistant said I can come back anytime within the year and buy the warranty at the 10%price.

Side lit. As to why? Well it's marketing ploys obviously! :)
