Do you think I will find better offers for TV's on Boxing Day? I'm in the market for a 50 inch (possibly 55 if the price is right), but they're nearly 3x the price of these 40".... Hmm

It looks like alot of places are selling out of tvs, so not sure. I think I saw a decent price for a 46inch earlier on here. I'll have a look and get back to you soon

Be careful with this TV, search Samsung panel lottery and also purple black ghosting. I used to own this TV and the black colours turning purple with any sort of movement drove me nuts. Moved on to a Panasonic shortly after which was fairly disappointing as well.

Yeah, It seems like retailers are trying to clear out all the lines to replace them with 4K TV's now. Alright Thanks.

I was tempted to getting this Sony W8 Series KDL55W829B 3D LED Television (+ Free soundbar) for £759 but then realised 'Marks Electrical' warranty only applies in-store; I'm based in London you see, so that's no good for me when it's in Leicester.

Probably IMHO because it's an old series and last years model as it is this price lots of places, as others of the same generation from other makers, it's an annual trend and retailers will need to stock non 4k TV's as not everyone is interested in them, until it is the norm.

If they did price match it'll only be up to £850 (listed price), in order to get it down to £759 is though blackfriday codes... :/ I would've gone for it at £800

You just might do. This actual TV was in the sale at Tesco last Christmas for the same price. I missed out on the deal by a matter of hours before it returned to full price.

a lot of the manufacturers backed warranties are 'only available in store' to get people in though the door. Speak to them on the phone and see what they can do?

This has been posted before its the 2012 model, the updated version is U40H5000 available at £269 Amazon, everywhere else £279 but others should pricematch HTH

We have been checking out TVs and its was either going to be a Samsung or Sony but been put off Sony by all of the refurb deals on here in the last couple of months. So many refurbs deals have been posted makes you wonder where they get them from :(

I'd be careful with this retailer. Their 'free' delivery applies to only a few locations!! Check Delivery Restrictions to see what I mean!

They deliver to ground floor only. In Britain the first floor is above the ground floor.

I live within 50 miles of the shop, just did a postcode delivery check on an instock TV and they quoted 8-14 working days.

That's a newer model of the one in this deal...... and its a better TV and a better deal imo.
I have the TV you've just ordered and its excellent. You will need to calibrate it though, its crap on standard settings.

No. They deliver free to most places in England (and some in Wales).

That list is about 1% of postcodes from places like Scotland and the Highlands and Northern Ireland, a few from Wales, plus a small number from England they don't deliver to.

Most places in England are free - you can check your postcode on a product page in the postcode checker.
