Do not believe the "100 Clear Motion Rate", it is Bovine Excrement of the highest order. I have a 5520 with same claim but motion is extremely poor.
It would be better to pay £20 extra and go for the tv in the link below

For the small trade off in width you'll get a better sound from the built in speakers. Great price and great find op!

May save a few quid for anyone with a makro card if the deal's still on.. worth a call at least
It's because it's a backlit LED screen, where the slim ones are side-lit. LCD (and most LED) TVs have appallingly poor contrast, and can't display blacks/shadows properly due to having a backlight that's uniform across the whole screen. Backlit LED screens have a grid of LEDS that can turn on or off, selectively, so they can turn off (or merely dim) behind dark details and go extra bright on bright details. The theory is that it increases the contrast immensely. They're not quite as good as they sound, though, as they rely heavily on other image processing done by the set and you may find that the screen lighting up and dimming itself in different areas is distracting, especially with complex detail on screen
Side lit LEDs are thin but in terms of picture quality are absolutely no better than the old CCFL screens, as the backlight is either on or off across the whole screen. A lot of side-lit sets are in fact *worse* than CCFLs as they feature uneven lighting across the screen.
