What does curved do?

Means only the person sitting directly in front of the set gets a good picture...

The girlfriend reckons a curve in something gives a better experience, especially a 40 incher.

Need new TV around this size and price. This or the Currys deal for the LG 43"?
#8
LG 43" 610 or 620V at Currys is good but don't forget might want a longer warranty.

How does the curved screen affect the dimension. I would guess a curved 40" would be smaller than a flat 40".

I'm after a small(ish) 4K panel for the man cave to replace a 32" Sony LCD.

I use it with my Mac and a load of games consoles. Does anyone use one of these with an Xbone/PS4? Is it any good?

I don't know whether to plump for something like this, or get say a 27" 4K monitor...

Thanks, and merry Christmas!

I am now debating between this for £369 or Samsung KU6020 40" 4K for £335 (not curved)
Tv goes in a bedroom on the wall, can someone please advice. ?

As someone who bought the bigger version of this, unless you're sure you want curved, don't buy it. Test in store how it feels from different angles. I sent mine back after 2 days as it wasn't comfortable for me.

This TV has an 8bit panel, but of course nothing does HDR properly at this price, so HDR is to be ignored, the real decision is whether to get a curved panel or not as Samsung offer a standard 4K panel for similar money, and went as cheap as £299 on Black Friday, so under £400 for cheap 4K it's Samsung you go to.

flat one for the bedroom no point in a curved when you are both in front of it.

picked this up on black Friday for 270 after various deductions, fantastic picture and quality. Definitely worth an extra 100 with the benefit of hindsight.

Is this good for a computer monitor or does it do 444 chroma?

Hot. £469 at John Lewis.

the straight 1 is 364, avoiding curved due to the viewing angles being bad

Curved TVs failed like 3D, stay clear.

If anyone is looking at this for gaming it is the best in class at this price range. Low input lag and great picture quality despite it not being a 10 bit panel.

yeah all the cheap 6000 series are great I would recommended anyone of them just pick one suitable for yourself they have the same input lag and screen quality in the 6000 series they differ from curved no Bluetooth and other stuff just depends what your looking for

Curved TV = Gimmick......why waste money of a feature nobody needs. If curved screens were so special all cinemas would have them. Desperate play by the TV manufacturers.

Yes, from extensive time spent in Currys trying to decide what TV we wanted, the curved ones do make the screen look smaller. Was looking at bigger screens than this and trying to decide between 49 and 55, but same principle applies. Think if I was going to get one this size I'd go for flat.

On a side note, not sure why the curved screen haters always have to appear. If you don't think it looks cool then fine? Don't get one.

sooooooo many tv's makes and models and yet you wait for this specific one to be reduced. Please explain its USP ?

personally 3D and curve - all distraction for what is yet to come.
Cheaper BIGGER screen in OLED.

.

USP's for me is that i have an open plan kitchen and living room, my normal TV gets light glare from the living room window, with this, the curve means i shouldnt get that and as its now only £50 more than the normal version its a great deal for me. My sofa is also quite close to the TV so anything over 40 inch hurts my eyes. Amazon, John Lewis all retailing at £499/£469 and have been since it was launched in early summer. Great looking TV as well!

my lg oled is 3d and curved and would not swap for anything else.dont get the hang up on the curve its that slight its hardly noticeable, yet when its switched off and is just a piece of furniture it looks simply stunning,
