I need to read about it. Is this worth it?

Any chance of a link to get this at £450 through O2 priority??
#7
Any tech bods out there? Which tv would you go for out of this one or the 50" Panasonic tx50as500b at Richer Sounds. Or does anyone have links to independent reviews? Cheers

For the Money its a great set at the price. I was debating the w829 and it looked great in the shop but is around £739 in currys with a free soundbar (no use to me). And I sorta wish i got the 6700 with micro dimming. But they are about £680. In the end i don't regret buying this set. Its amazingly sharp on my xbox one and virgin looks good on HD signal, not all that on SD but thats to be expected and who watches SD anymore if you have the choice. I dont think there will be anything close competition at this price point.

I have literally just bought this and awaiting delivery from JL. Paid £549.
Good reviews and well worth taking the 5years warranty with JL in my eyes

I've got the 55 inch fantastic tv. its defo worth paying the 50 extra from John lewis for the 5yr guarantee and the high level of customer service and aftercare.

How do you get the o2 priority codes ? My wifes on O2, registered with the app , but using the app and browsing the offers we can never find Currys or Pc World.

So is there much difference in the panels? Is it worth going for the 6400 over a 6200 as I can't see anything else. I know these aren't true rates and are digitally enhanced

The 6200 doesn't have the naff clear plastic surround.

Yeah I was going to buy one last month but that put me off really cheap looking
#28
I actually like that, bit different to the usual black or silver.

£379.99 with a 5 year guarantee for the 40" of this just a few days ago. Is the extra 8" really worth £170 more? not for me. With the O2 Priority it's a good deal though imo.
#30
I got this from amazon @ £539. The image needed slight tweaking to get it perfect but other than that I'm extremely happy with it. It's a much better choice TV than most others out there today. And nevermind the marketing fluff like 200Hz motion rate etc.. this TV natively supports 60Hz, so gaming on it is great.
#31
Bought one about a month ago at the same price but from JL for the 5 yr warranty.

A great TV. Use the smart functions often and extra remote interesting.
#32
Yeah i got this tv aswell and its amazing, i got mine from JL you really cant go wrong with the extra 5 year warranty to be fair.

Yes indeed it is 40" unless its for a kitchen it would be far to small for most. Always buy one size bigger than you think you need most people with a small one wish it was bigger :)

This is a fantastic TV even bought for 549 at John Lewis.

Looks great, narrow bezel, excellent picture, fast smart tv with all the apps and hook up with plex.
#36
It's £60 more expensive at ebuyer.
#37
Well listing this specifically as a deal is a bit odd as the O2 priority could be applied to anything over £500 no? And £549 is about the standard price for this set. It's been this price at JL for a while.

Anyway this tv itself is fantastic. Check out the review on hdtvtest. They said it blows away far more expensive sets. The picture quality is exceptional.

Those saying the 6200 is the same but cheaper. It isn't.
#38
Arghh how long has the O2 £50 been out. Just used the £30 on Monday to be my tv at £529 **** lost £20
#39
Got this last time was on here. Amazing tv. Love the record option. Picture in picture. The 3d is perfect, we watched Avatar last night and 3d was just great.
Another function worth mentioning is screen mirroring. Works so nice and not just with Samsung. I can mirror my blackberry q10
Also the iPad Samsung app lets you stream the other way. As in you can watch tv on your iPad

if this lot says it's good then who am I to argue!
