Samsung UE48H6700 LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 48" with twin Freeview/Freesat HD, Voice Control and 2x 3D Glasses

5 Year Warranty and free Samsung WAM250

edit - 40" version also available via price match for £489 - thanks eshaq7861

edit - at currys its £599 for the 48" but no 5yr warranty - thanks guapa

JL seem to be randomly price matching the currys one for some people but not for others so 48" £629 5yr warranty and JL customer service or £599 if your lucky

within a couple of hours (upto 24) I got a reply saying that they were happy to price match and to order online then reply to the email with my order number for the refund to make it £629

A bit fiddly but I've seen people go through many more hoops to save a bit of cash ;-)

edit - oh and once your TV turns up follow this link and put your serial number in to get the free multiroom hub

Just looked at currys its £599 !! no 5 year warranty though

It's a different tv - you search for one model number and a different one comes up - they have a crap website :)

edit - it's probably the UE48H6670 you were looking at, this deal is for the UE48H6700

the Samsung UE48H6700 and H6670 are identical apart from ms11 and ms10 Dolby sound and stand
#12
I think the 6670 is same as 6700 from what I have read on another post, they change model number slightly to avoid price match, also have to bear in mind currys don't offer 5 year guarantee

yeh same here just Dolby sound is different ms10 and ms11

6670 and 6700 are the same TV. 6670 is just exclusive to Curry's. I bought it a couple of weeks ago when it was 649 and gt £50 off with O2 priority. Very nice TV for the price.

oh....maybe...I saw it yesterday and the spec is very similar but there was no mention of the twin freeview\freesat tuners just single ones?

there seems to be conflicting information on the internet

vsbee seems to suggest there are differences while avforums say it's the same tv apart from the dolby MS10 and MS11

I'll do some more digging, as for the RS price match - best to ring them up and ask them, have you had it delivered yet and did you buy it online - most places will do you a partial refund if your within 8 days of having it delivered because you can just send it back in that time if you change your mind.

The Samsung UE40H6700 LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 40" with Freeview/Freesat HD, Voice Control and 2x 3D Glasses is materially different to that of the Samsung UE40H6700LED HD 1080p 3D Smart TV, 40" with Freeview/Freesat HD, Voice Control and 2x 3D Glasses.

The Samsung UE40H6700 has a newer and improved sound system called Dolby MS11 whereas the Samsung UE40H6670 comes with Dolby MS10.

I am sorry I have not been able to reduce the price on this occasion. If you require any further information or assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

How long did it take for you to get a reply, so the 2 very small differences will save them from price matching

try to get them to price match here instead

it's the same as the 48" situation then

Ya thanks already submitted it this morning. I actually had them price match crampton and moore for 499 but I was told I can put in a second NKU claim for the extra tenner off?
#24
anywhere apart from currys that has this at 599?
#25
Are best AV deals offering 5 year warranty aswell?
#26
Because richer sounds wont price match if they are not offering a 5 year warranty.

no but JL will happily price match them and give you the warranty, it's the currys model number change they don't seem to like, can't blame them really as although the differences are subtle it is a slightly different tv

edit - best av is £49 for a 5yr warranty via Domestic & General

Does every TV have unique serial number which is specific to the store that is selling it?
#29
Samsung will have a list of where the tv's have gone by serial number if that's what you mean, but only to the warehouse , so if Currys buy 500 they will know which ones have gone to currys warehouse but not which store as Currys would distribute them themselves

Currys are the ones who insist on an exclusive model in order to stop people price matching and buying from elsewhere. It's why they don't sell a h6700 model.
#31
Richer sounds dont price match BESTAV deals, unless they have a store within 50 miles radius from richer sounds

yes mate both have freesat and freeview
#33
Thanks for this worto03, now saved another £20 on this great TV. Now done 2 price matches with John Lewis.
#34
Richer sounds were not willing to price match and also said just go buy from John lewis but as the TV has been opened they will charge 15% restock fee.
Could I not buy from John Lewis keep TV boxed and just give that to richer sounds instead therefore I would not have to pay the 15% restock fee?.

Why ?

They always have, the cost of the warranty is minimal to them anyway

Does anyone know if the record\pause to usb function will work with a USB2 drive or does it have to be USB3?

Cheers.
