I bought one of these from Currys just the other day (for £799 although that deal has now ended).

Excellent TV, very impressed by the picture quality and sound. Really well worth the money at the reduced price. Easily matches my Sony ZD9 in most respects (other than size!) and betters it for the Tizen O.S. which totally demolishes Sonys implementation of Android.

Had 65" (old model) Hisense for a few years now - it has been and still remains a fantastic bit of kit!

(Of course the newer models such as this will be even better at handling 4k content!)

You will get it cheaper in a few weeks.

Jees surpised Currys have jumped back up to £999 after reading the various comments about their stock levels.

Surely they will drop straight back down within a few days?

I've been so indecisive on this TV!

I was going to buy it last night instore, but the manager wouldn't give me it at the online price, so I left it. They have a lot of them in stock.

Certainly hope so! I think if it drops to £769.99 again I will jump on it. Although it's still available for £789.99 & £798 at Atlantic Electrics & Reliant Direct respectively - both retailers having a much better Trustpilot rating than Currys!

They have jumped up to £999 only to show that as a previous price on next sale - I think it will be £699 on Boxing Day :)

FFS, I bought one for 1150 from John Lewis a month ago.

Excellent TV and worth the money at the higher price.

A few questions for other people who have one, I am seeing some weird behaviours and I wondered if you were too. HDMI device detection is dodgy. I run the TV setup and it detects my TIVO box. I reboot the TIVO box and the tv says the device has changed, and then believes it is an xbox 360 ?! Is this common?
When I set the audio to be HDMI out, this value only sticks 40% of the time. It keeps switching back to TV speakers after a few suspend/wake cycles.
WiFi simply doesn't work.

Even with these annoyances, it is a fantastic TV. Would check one out beforehand if you are planning to wall mount though as the Connect Mini box is not the best of ideas.

Hdmi issues are the same on mine. No issues with WiFi or volume. There do seem to be lots of unexpected behaviour software side which I hope subsequent firmware updates sort. Dont bother speaking to customer services as they are abysmal.

I would return it as these issues are technical faults within the tv. No one pays £1k to experience technical faults, no matter how good the picture.

Had a look at the 55" version in store - great picture but that stand makes placement a bit tricky.

I bought this tv from Richer Sounds, originally at £875 but they refunded me £75 (approx.) after three days as Currys had it for £799. It is an AMAZING set. Picture quality is astounding. It wasn't without its issues when I first set it up though! The out of the box settings are terrible... lots of juddering! But after some quality customer service from Richer Sounds, it's now running incredibly well. Highly recommended.

Done with john lewis no problems what so ever.

I asked them to price match this website however they refused as they mentioned this place sells refurbished tvs and don't buy their TV's directly from the Manufacturer

Spent a LOT more then this 3-4 months ago so it pains me to see it at this price.. but it's a cracking tv!

this company has a well dodgy rating on trustpilot.

Richer give 6 years warranty and good customer service. Pick up the 55" for £949 and you'll get far better overall value.

I've also experienced a bit of judder. Was it just a setting thing? I bought from Curry's so doubt I'll get the quality customer service.

And CES is 8 days after boxing day. Oh, the dilemma.
#32
Spend extra £230 and get the Hisense 65M7000.
I cannot justify to spend double the price for high TVs and I cannot see any difference in the picture watching HD/4K between high TVs and the Hisense TVs.

Cold for me.
#33
Honestly, wait until after CES. Might find the KS8000 is slightly more affordable too :) That has better local dimming and motion (apparently).

Also I'm not sure how good the KS9000 is going to be, but one of the main improvements is in the software (something I couldn't care less about!) and the new QLED (similar to what already exists). That said this is from the rumour mill so may be b***ocks!

Would Currys or JL or RS price match this?
