some people have been complaining about how far apart legs of stand are. it seems they must be around 90-95 cm apart looking at pictures.
so check your TV cabinet size.

the further apart the legs the better imo :P just saying

Should get another 1.65% with TCB or Quidco.

ill be claiming my price match refund from richer sounds :) Thanks
#3
Does this mean i can go to Currys and get 30 quid back or are they going to make up a million excuses ?

Great TV - I have the curved version and it's stunning. It can suffer from judder occasionally but that's just a case of switching to a picture mode with a certain setting turned off (motion control I think?).

Worth checking if your employer can give you 7-8% off Currys vouchers too.

Do they price match voucher codes?

Unfortunately what the review sites don't tell you is the reliability/quality controls issues with this tv, backs coming off e.c.t. Best to look at the owner threads on avforums then make a choice imho

Not sure whether to go for this or not, I have a 50JU6800 from last year which is a good TV but only 8(+2)bit and 60hz panel.

I plan to buy this TV in Jan 2017. I wonder what the price will be at that time. Hopefully around £600

John Lewis does not price match if a code is not displayed on the website. They regard it as "extra research". Richer Sounds does, according to a user above. Seems like RS wins over JL in the customer service department.

That's the point I'm making quality control is hit and miss -some have changed 4 units before getting a reasonable one. Look on the threads Bit of a lottery

And that is what the 5 year guarantee is for. You could buy anything and something go wrong with it.

That's true but not much fun humping a 49-55" or bigger tv around repacking, unplugging. The price of these is just not good enough. How long has your previous tv been going, has the back started coming off? Probably not. I went into Curry's- I was looking at this tv once to buy from the reviews (avforums) and both the ks7000 and the 8000 had the backs coming away. But if you think that it's worth the risk then best of luck.

I reckon Sub £699 Boxing Day

I've had my 55" version a few weeks and the back seems pretty solid to me so far. Been checking it randomly and doesn't even feel loose at all. Awesome picture on this TV and I don't find that there's any motion issues personally but maybe I not sensitive to it.

Would also like to know the exact measurement between the outside of the feet if anyone knows :) waiting for this to drop a bit more then I'll bite. If it stutters/comes to bits I'll just return it... worth a try as the specs are very good

Yeah a better TV for someone who cannot afford this one.

Got the 55" last week. Superb picture. You can't go wrong with this TV. Back in May this TV was over £1,500. I paid £799 for the 55".

My previous TV which weighed about the same as an Indian Elephant went to the tip in 2007. Didnt bother buying another TV after that. Didn't actually miss it at all but seeing as i can watch Youtube on this one i decided to get one and free up a monitor. Plus my kids can play Xbox on it whenever they want to.

I'd also be keen to know how you got the 55" so cheap?
