Thank you for taking the time to participate on the forums. The price has been amended as the listed deal price should be the price you have to actual pay the retailer to purchase the item before any retrospective discounts/cashbacks are applied, thanks again.

    * Please don't amend the price back to include cashback.

I got this TV - its ace! Surely the LG is only 720 3d cause its passive compared to active?

I have the 2011 7000 46" and it's gorgeous, I can only assume this is just as good!!! The lack of bezel really make a difference these sets actually take up and how they look in the room

So would you say this is the best TV to get or is there better TVs that I could get from using the voucher codes @ Comet

Its an ace TV to get with lots of extra - well worth getting it! Plus, as it is active, you get full 1080 in each eye rather than a passive 720

In my limited no technical knowledge these TV's are amazing. Was off a couple of weeks ago and spent the whole day watching LOTR extended edition on Blu-ray - peace and quiet, lovely experience.

Get one you won't go wrongX)

Personally i still buy TV's based on how good the picture quality is and not on how pretty the bezel looks.......

I have last years model the UE55D8000 and it is a fantastic tv with so many function I've not even used them all. Agreed with another poster that the tv looks amazing with the minimal bezel around the edge an this adds tithe viewing experience strangely enough. Obviously you should also base your purchase on picture quality and mine is fantastic. The colours are vibrant and image is pin sharp with an HD source and I have no complaints over SD channels eIther. Never got a headache from the 3d which is amazing in depth and as previously stated is in full HD and not 720 although I've seen a passive set and it's hard to notice much difference but it is there. The headache problem came with some of the earlier sets that had lots of crosstalk but this was greatly improve for my model to the extent I have noticed none at all and I'm sure this new model will be improved further. Glasses are now relatively cheap too. I bought a twin pack of the new style for about £20 I think and they are great, but admittedly not as cheap as the passive. You'll prob get 2 pairs in the box anyway. Wi-fi works great and Internet is ok too but use a phone app to navigate as this makes it much easier. This model with the built in camera will be great for Skype too but no sure bout the gesture control being that great, so don't buy it just for that. Tv looks like a picture hung on the wall. I got mine from John Lewis on a price match with the 5yr warranty. HOT!

The point is that many people do not like a TV to dominate the living room, but at the same time want as large a TV as possible. I have a Sony 46EX503 the bezel is about 2.5" each side, which makes the TV about 51" inc bezel. I want a larger TV, and know that I can get away with a 50" with a slim bezel like this Samsung, without altering the appearance/presence of the TV in the room. I would love to have this TV, aesthetically it is incredible, and appears to have the AV credentials to match.

I would like to buy a new 55" in the autumn/winter, what do people think this TV may get down to by then?
