Yes, I'm considering the same however I read John Lewis price match up to 30 days from purchase I believe. Richer Sounds looks like £999 is their boxing day sale price and they aren't open until Monday which means any price match request to them may well be rejected if this goes oos by Monday. I dunno oO

Good price and heat added, the RS sale prices don't look to be great imho. Hopefully they might have a rethink today ;)

If only it had its feet in the middle :(

Any saving I make on this new fangled trend of tvs with their feet wide apart is ruined by the need to replace my perfectly good TV stand!

Have you noticed any issues with 'judder'?

Yes, very tiny ones when using the sky Q box, but barely noticeable.

I hope so too. Although I had a conversation with a member of staff at Richer Sounds after the Black Friday price was over and he mentioned that there was very little margin in the ks7000 series and the manufacturer had to support them and other retailers to get the product out at that price so I'm thinking they will match but probably won't be looking to beat it. Extra years guarantee would be welcome though.

To be fair, getting judder on a £900+ TV shouldn't be acceptable... I'd be pretty annoyed if my TV did.

I see your point. I'm pretty sure I read that there are calibration settings on the AV forums which stop this judder. Wish that Panasonic Tx58dx902b would drop and give me something to consider.

John lewis has 28days price match guarantee. If you find cheaper elsewhere, you can make a price claim at john lewis to match the lower price. Better secure your purchase. Just bought mine 5 mins ago. Been aiming since Black Friday.;)

I bought this tv a few weeks ago for the bedroom, it's fantastic! I believe what they say about the margins at this price - I think it's a marketing thing to get quantum dot out there at basically half the price of OLED.

I noticed juddering at first (with sky q) - solution was (ironically) to turn off all of the motion settings (which are basically anti-jutter).

Comparing this to the F8000 (which cost us over twice this originally and was a flagship model) in the living room, this blows it out of the water!

Just hoping for a Boxing Day sale on the oleds now!

Does anyone know what broadcasting standard will be used when they the BBC (eventually) start broadcasting 4K over DTT? And will the tuners of the 4K HDR TVs on sale now be compatible when it eventually happens?
Got told in currys that the current 4K TVs with Freeview HD tuners would become compatible with 4K HDR DTT through a software update (which I am sceptical about).

I would even go as far as to call it judder. A micro stutter might be a better description.

Is your sky Q like ked directly to the one box or through an av receiver? I tried turning off all motion setting but it made things worse!

No even after calibration some are unhappy about judder/ microjudder - it's why I still not sure about this set

I've owned 49" version of this model and must say the best TV i've ever bought. Before this I brought 6500 series Curved in 55" but got it replaced by this, I have not regrated my decision. Good price for 55".

I got this TV in November and haven't had any issues with judder. It is amazing. Perfect picture and loads of cool features like streaming from the pc and being able to link the sound bar with the Xbox and Playstation so the smart remote controls all the volumes. Maybe the judder is the soap opera effect people tend to leave switched on auto in options. It's under auto motion plus in picture settings. Set blue red turn to 8 and judder reduction to 0. Led clear motion off. It'll make everything look better.

want to buy this tv but worried about all the reviews saying about the back panel coming loose, anyone experienced this?

Just ordered, thanks! :)

No Quidco or Topcashback, but you can get 5 miles per £1 spend on either Avios Shopping or Virgin Flying Club shopping when selecting John Lewis as retailer. Both deals end today though when it goes back to 2 miles per £1 spend.

Quidco gives you 40 coins, like a loyalty thing. I think you need 150 to get £15. Just check your account.

I have the 49" version and there is as someone has described well a bit of a stutter. I turned auto motion setting off and it has pretty much gone. It seems all of the image processing stuff they tout actually makes things worse and the AV forums suggested settings suggested mostly get you to turn them all off.

Have the 60" version and it's getting returned . Build quality is shocking . Trim round the tv coming away , motion stutter which is bad when watching football .
Terrible light bleed and watching anything off centre then the colours are washed out .
Might have just had a bad set but won't be getting another .

Currys are now selling this at £899 plus you can get cashback via topcashback of potentially 6.6% on selected Samsung TVs... I don't know what the select TVs are though as there is no indication on the websites...
